Many moons ago being a Uncle Sams bastard child, I was deployed in the Pacific. One late night, around 3 am or so, I was on a patrol, alone. As I was making a perimeter check, I noticed birds flopping around in the branches in the jungle. Well well well - a light bulb went through my head. It got to be fruits, edible fruits at least. I fill up my cammies pockets to max and get back to HQ. I offer the other bastard children but they refuse. Throughout the night, I keep chewing on until around 0900 for debrief - out of formation-- I keep chewing on. The other ones look at me, all starving and says, "damn it, you aint dead yet, give me that shit" and proceeds to raid my pockets. It was a Guavo - native to SE Asia. In Asian markets, they are about $5 dollars or so per pound.

He did it for me when i was a kid, had near-misses in life, fell from the top of a mango tree but landed in a sitting position on a Y form trunk ( i could have landed in my back), almost got drowned in the sea but my sister realized i disappered, she called my brother who was with us, he was 13 , my brother swam towards me and rescued me. a big bus i run into had a scretching brake so as not hit me, i got spared, had many more encounters with death as a kid but God had always been keeping from such. I know he has purpose for me to fulfill.

Reminds me of myself and my brother about 45 years ago I was 10 brother close to 8 we wanted too fish but had no money so Dad made our poles from small green branches the line was I believe heavy sewing thread the bobber a empty thread spool the sinker was a small steel nut we were lucky too have real hooks the bait was corn/small breadballs and off we went , there were two other kids with fancy poles and with flies/lures that were laughing at us making insults but my brother and I did catch a fish while the other kids had no luck and BOY they got mad but me & bro were thrilled with the catch we had although they were only about 4 inches but we run run home with our fish and told Mom & Dad all about it.

Мне 68 . В детстве мы сдадим бутылку за 10 коп и купим рыболовный набор . Там леска в миллиметр и крючок как гвоздь . Удилище из орешены в кустах , червей у конюшни в консервную банку или муравьиных яиц в спичечный коробок и на речку. Так плотва, как селёдка в магазине, густера, подлещики , голавль и прочая речная рыба . А сейчас - карась весь в клещах . Так мы где ловили там же и воду из речки пили и купались . Купаться сейчас я там побаиваюсь .

I am doing freshwater fishing in Korea. The first fish caught is a powerful fish called a scented carp, and the second and third fish appear to be carp. The boy's fishing method seems to be an attractant that can attract fish species that are easily caught on rice cake bait, and can be used as a fishing lure. I was watching some instructors teaching adults how to use their clothes as floating device. I just laughed - we did that when we were literally 5 years old. Also, climbing coconut and date trees were nothing to me, but now, I don't think I can even go a feet up. Years later, I went back to my families land and people wanted to give me some coconut juice to drink, before I even answered and kid climbed up with a knife in his mouth. lol

Oh wow that is very impressive 👏 😀 BRAVO 👏 🙌 😀. It is so great to see such an ambitious little boy catch food for his family. You will never see that with young kids in the US. The majority of kids in the US are hooked on social media and their parents allow their brains to turn to mush by being on their phones 24/7. At 9 years old myself and the neighborhood kids built our own tree houses without the help of an adult. My kids only get one hour of screen time per day. They all have to find constructive things to do that doesn't involve a screen. I teach them how to hunt, fish, gardening and build stuff. Technology is good but not 24/7.

@@izatrini439 absolutely Iza,,,Wisconsin is a fishing paradise, I'm here in Mass., and fresh and salt water fishing, is OFF THE CHARTS!, our DFW puts on fishing seminars, for young kids, and they fill up in minutes,,,also, I'm a member of 2 sportsmen's clubs, my whole life, and we put fishing days, on our heavily stocked, club ponds, for the boy scouts,, and even let em camp out on the ponds,,,they fill up so fast, so,,,young kids, like this little man, in the vid, are everywhere here,,,,,Basspro, Cabelas, and Walmart, have bright futures, in the fishing depts,,,,,,TIGHT LINES!!!😎
