Though it is possible to buy on BSE and sell on NSE (or vice versa), a waiting of T+1 days is required for such transactions. You cant buy and sell IDEA in NSE and BSE on the same day its a compliance issue. Also Alibaba, those are ADR and the other is local market you cant trade. Tata, IDFC and HDFC all have a merger benefit i believe HDFC arbitrage has closed as they are nearing the completion of merger. IDFC will still exist for a year.

It's in the ratio 1:1.55 For example If you have 2 Idfc Ltd share they will give 2*1.55 = 3.10 Share.Since share are available in whole number they will give 3 share of idfc first bank and remaining 0.1 value of amount will be credited in ur bank account.
