Fr. Wyatt played really well this year in his role. Dude led the team through the first half of the season in pressures i think. He also said Van Ness didn’t perform well, yet he didn’t play but half a season with all the rotating they did for him. And Joe dumbass kept putting him into coverage

Agreed. People who hate on Jaire are reading into the initial headline stories on him. Every single follow up story to his antics shows that he accepts the consequences, apologizes, and humbles himself. He is a great dude who likes to have fun, and sometimes takes the fun a little too far. He's definitely not toxic though, thats just made up from people who dont follow the team.

There's a bit of truth to "just draft defense", but really they need depth on the O-line with pending FA departures of Runyan, Nijman, and Newman. Also, Aaron Jones is getting up there and as good as he was last year, he needs a guy to spell him and cover for the injuries that seem to nick him up in recent years. Frankly there's enough needs to go around that they could take almost anybody not a WR or a QB and probably get value in the form of more competition on the roster and at least some needed depth.

oline only needs depth tho, we can get a good guard/tackle in the third/fourth. rb as well. main priorities imo are DBs overall, then LB, RB, IOL and DL. qb OT te wr and edge are cover, which is nice to have 4 of the 5 premium positions covered.

Monson, deep into the season, said GB should take a WR in R1. And even after it was clear Jordan Love was on a total heater, Monson refused to say Love was a legit QB1. So why should I take him seriously now?

@Apc My point is he’s so bad at forming opinions. I’ll give another example: Monson told Peter Bukowski with absolute assurance before the season that Romeo Doubs was nothing more than a journeyman. Then PFF rated him number one of all playoff WRs. This is Monson’s job; if PFF had a rating for opinions, he’d do worse than a monkey with a handful of darts.

Packers will draft 2 DB's and 2 Safeties, 1 LB 1 RB and then best available. I'm sure a lineman will be in the mix. As for Bakhtiari too many fans are spending his cap savings before the Packers decide if he can play again. He'll either restructure or get an injury settlement. The Packers can wait till June to make that call.

I think GB is one of the teams where you just cant say for sure what they will draft. They dont draft based on immediate need. They draft the best player available. Jordan Love (We already had Rodgers), LVN (We already had Gary and Preston), Gary (We already had Z and Preston), Quay (We brought in Dre the prior offseason)... all picks no one had them for. They dont care about roster need, they just want good players.

Safety should be round one no doubt . Linebacker and HB in round 2 . And packers are notorious for finding O line gems in the later rounds . Packers have 2 3rd round picks . They can literally double up on 2 corners . DBs are deep in this draft class .

I expect them to hammer defense obviously but I wouldn’t be surprised if they try and add another burner WR in the 4th-7th rounds. Watson, Doubs, Reed and Wicks are locks but we need that 5th guy for competition and in case an injury happens. This is a big year for Watson, I really hope he can stay healthy but if he can’t, we need a stretch guy to fill in for him. I also anticipate GB to bargain bin shopping in FA for guys that can fill needs at the right price. I haven’t been this excited for Packers football in awhile.

As a lifelong packer fan, it’s amazing how much 1st round picks and a couple FA we have invested in defense. I’m very hopeful the new DC does a really good job. They should be performing as a top 10 defense consistently if not better.

im a packer fan and have been for years, since 92. Unlike many other fans I look at each season as a different one and what I mean is what a team did this last season does not mean that will be the case for the upcoming season. Although I will give the packers that Love will be the starting QB. The packers did not tank and they did get better as the season went on and caught fire. but with a weak schedule I feel it was setup for the packers. The opportunity was set for them if they took it and they did. This team I am assuming will be different from last season. How much different we won't know until they have decided who will stay and goes.

Look for the packers to sign at least one safety and a linebacker in free agency... There are some solid players avvailable at both those positioins.

Why would he say they're not going to do anything in free agency? They are going to get at least one mid-level safety, probably 2. Keep an eye on Alohi Gilman and Jordan Fuller.

My draft wish list: In first two rounds I want a bonafide run stuffer for the D line! 1 Tackle for depth 2 Guards to increase competition on the O line 1 Center to push or replace Myers 2 Cornerbacks need a stud shutdown man coverage guy 2 Safeties need a stud big hitter for back end 1 RB to mentor as Aaron Jones replacement 1 Place Kicker to push Anders Carlson to be better or replace him Thats 11 picks, the other 3 compensatory picks can also be used to help the D! They'll need an ILB too if Devondre Campbell gets cut as expected! 1 Long snapper is competent be nice too! Go Pack Go!

@@flexydude ty Someone on the same page! Stopping the run been a chronic issue for this team since Gilbert Brown & BJ Raji retired. Priority number one for me in the draft. Just hope the new DC & scheme help alleviate the abysmal run D. An extra body in the box should help. But Hatley's run D was suspect even in college. Jury still out but change is refreshing & what was needed for this team.

Green Bay will do something in free agency. It may not be the big money top shelf signing this out of touch prognosticator spews , but they will find a free agent safety and perhaps a linebacker too.

people always say we don't do anything in free agency, and we do every once in a while. we signed preston and zadarius smith in the same offseason. this could be a year we try and do it considering a lot of the team is on rookie contracts.

packers need linebacker and build the offensive line, they could maybe get someone next to kenny clark if they want to really stop the run. with the new defense we are not going to be relying on safeties and corners as much. we can make due with a mid-late pick for corner/safety. There isnt even any good people to draft early for corner/safety. They need to get bigger, these guys dont have a clue what they are talking about. wtf does always tinker with the oline mean? you always tinker with every player.

Between the Chicago and San Francisco games, the Packers' redzone efficiency was horrible. Obviously we shouldn't expect guys like Doubs and Melton to make those TD catches. We certainly can't depend on Watson to be on the field...

I like Doubs, Wicks, Reed and Melton, but not as guys that can make those jaw dropping plays time and time again, the way Watson can. Problem is, Watson is hardly ever on the field.

Dude: Cincinnati went to and almost Won the Super Bowl with a top 10 QB and the best Receiver/TE pass catchers in the nfl with a ton of speed and height. Trade a few 1st rounders of the next two years and go get 2/3 top WR. The top 3 are the best WR coming out of the draft in 20 years. We are already amazing with weapons, but no one would stop us with those players, and draft LB and DB. You would be set for 10 years. 6 super bowls. Hafley is ultra aggressive. people are too overhyped imo, a more agressive scheme ofc means more big plays and an identity which i dont mind, but there will also be more mistakes. i dont mind it tho. we have 3 press man2man corners, athletic LBs and a stout dline. i NEED to watch more blitzes and press looks.
