In my opinion, the soundtrack for Suspiria by Goblin is the best prog film music 👍

As someone who’s seen three movies in his life, I appreciate knowing these exist.

Funny thing about Blade Runner score, it was used as the intro track for Iron Maiden's Somewhere in Time tour, back in 1986.

Interesting take. Trevor Rabin of Yes has written some soundtracks too. Prog seems to have a visual element with their longer length and different movements in them.

I know it's a game not a film but I love Chris Vrenna's soundtrack to American McGee's Alice. It's weird, disturbing and psychotic. And the perfect soundtrack to the game.

When talking about soundtracks by prog bands my first association is GOBLIN, who were working with Dario Argento many times. SUSPIRIA from 1977 or PROFONDO ROSSO from 1975 are very successful examples. Or some soundtracks by John Carpenter and Alan Howarth I would consider as prog style.

David Bridie/Not Drowning Waving. Prog enough for Anil Prasad to interview him in the 90s..Proof by NDW is a remarkable electronic/rock score. David Bridie's In A Savage Land land with papua new guinea field recodings is his masterpiece. Other notable works: The Straits, Secret City and Deadline Gallipoli TV series.
