PRF | Progeria clinical drug trial

In May, 2007, PRF made history with the start of a first-ever clinical trial for children with Progeria, the rapid aging disease. 28 children from 16 countries travel to Boston Children's Hospital every four months for two years, testing a drug that shows great promise to be an effective treatment. Only 9 years ago, there was nothing being done medically for these children! PRF is funding and co-coordinating the trial, and as of January, 2009, has raised $1.78m of the $2 million needed.
