These things are awesome, I couldn’t get my truck to go into program mode to program some key fobs so I bought one of these and within 5 minutes I have 2 key fobs programmed then bought a new key went and had it cut brought it home and used the Simple Key to program it too! No dealer needed

I bought this item for my Nissan chip key, wanted to avoid paying a high cost of a dealership unfortunately it did not program my new key. I did everything I could, they were great at customer service walking me through it making sure I was doing it right unfortunately It did not work for me but if I have a different vehicle and it’s keyed I will definitely try them again great customer service no problem returning the product product…

You can Program more for the same vehicle at a future date. With Nissan you will need to have all keys present when programming so they all work when you are complete

Yes. As long as the Versa came from the factory with a fob to lock/unlock the doors. Call the Nissan dealership and give the VIN to ask if it came with that feature

Hello Mr Tom's Key! Someone broke into my 2018 Nissan Versa S Sedan and tried to steal it!!! Yes, someone tried to steal a Versa!!! Anyway, I can tell they hammered a flathead screwdriver into my key slot. My key cylinder was ruined!!! I just ordered a new OEM key cylinder that came with 2 transponder keys. They aren't fobs. They are just plain black OEM transponder keys with no buttons and only the Nissan logo on it. I do have my original transponder key (not a fob). And my original transponder key should still work with the immobilizer (or whatever matches the chip in the transponder key. So, I have 2 original transponder keys that match my cars computer, and I have a brand new key cylinder with 2 transponder keys that doesn't match my cars computer. My original keys won't work in the new cylinder, so I need to program the 2 new transponder keys to match my car's computer, or program my cars computer to match the 2 new transponder keys. Will this thing work for me??? Please advise ASAP!!! I really need to get back on the road!!! Thanks!!! Damn!!! I just looked in the product description and I see it stops at 2016. Wow! Just my luck! Any other ideas or suggestions??? Thanks!!!

If I just have a regular key now and I want to use this to get a key fob, will it work? I noticed you had to press buttons on the original key fob to get this to continue, and I'd hate to spend money on this for it to not work for me. Thank you!

As long as your vehicle came from the factory originally, it should work great to make a key with a fob. We have a money back guarantee if it does not work for you.

@@TomahawkDIY we bought it off a mechanic who took a lien on it. I suspect it probably had a fob at some point, but we were never given one. Can't know for sure, I suppose.

What is meant by a transponder in the key itself my key is not attached to the remote I have to pull it out: CWTWBU624 is what I have?

The number you mention is for the remote fob. The transponder is a small digital "fingerprint" for your key. It is checked by the ignition before the vehicle can be started. Find your Nissan here. No matter what I do, I only end up with one spare key. Nissan xterra. I bought the kit with two extra keys. I have gone through the programming about 10 times, I have three keys. I always end up with only two working.

It can program a key if you have a chip key. But it will not add new features to your vehicle.

Mine is 2015 Nissan Versa Note, before I go ahead and purchase, need your suggestion. My car battery died few days back and got a new one installed but the security LED(blue lights) stopped blinking. After pressing the button at the bottom of the device, now the light turned ON but remains ON always. Another issue with my Key, with new key battery, the indicator on the key is not lighting up(not sure the key is broken). Can this Programming set help me in restoring what is lost so far ? You didn't start the car with the new key. Can you start the car with the new key, or this is just to program the lock and unlock buttons ?? Because is this is the case your video is useless. I can do that without that Key Programmer . The important is that you can start, lock and unlock the car with the new key.

Yes, the key starts the car. When recording the video I forgot to show it starting the car after. But the key starts the car every day. (and unlocks the doors too.

This is a scam, 1st, Nissan versa you can program the remote without their stupid dongle, 2nd, a versa isn't transponder equipped in 2015 and newer in the USA.

Some Nissan Versa use a transponder, but not all. That mentioned at 5:23 in the video. Even if a vehicle does not need a transponder, most people want the remote buttons programmed.

It is very misleading that this is advertised to work with specific Nissan Versa vehicles that you know do not need this device. I was given this device as a gift, only to get the key cut and find out the programmer isn’t even necessary and a waste of $80. I can partially blame myself for not realizing my Versa key does not have a transponder, but making a video like this is obviously deceiving as the programmer was not necessary to create a spare. All most Versa owners need is to get their key cut, which are only $20 on Amazon, then $4 dollars at a hardware store to get the key blank cut.
