Program Overview, ITC Series: Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit Program

HUD provides a high-level overview of DOE’s Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit Program (also known as the’ EJ Adder’ Program) and its applicability to HUD program participants, including public housing authorities, owners of assisted multifamily housing, communities, and other stakeholders. This bonus, which is on top of the 30% base investment tax credit (ITC), can help fund up to 50% of the costs to install solar projects that benefit low-income communities or families. In this recording, HUD provides a short overview of the four different solar facility types under this program and how communities, owners, housing authorities, tribes, and other stakeholders can use this tool to fund solar projects.
