Yes you are right. '9000' and '0009' are two different string representations of the same integer number. That is, if we really need the leading 0 in the output then we have to change our integer variable into a string one, sooner or later. So solution is convert it into string, then reverse it. you can do simple logic i.e. store each character of string in array and then reverse the array class ReverseANumber { public static void main(String args[]) { String s = "9876543210987654321"; char[] charArray = s.toCharArray(); for (int i = charArray.length - 1; i >= 0; i--) { System.out.print(charArray[i]); } } }

'890' and '98' are two different string representations of the same integer number. That is, if you really need the leading 0 in the output then you have to change your integer variable into a string one, sooner or later. So solution is convert it into string, then reverse it.
