Great to see a channel who is taming CNC with freeCAD. Wow, this is some quality content. Really well done.

Great video as usual. Personally I would have written the GCode manually for such job.

Thanks! I prefer it this way because it allows me to change the parameters of the keyhole without having to remember to change the gcode

13:45 min in you changed the Z Height of the tool path from 16 to 16.02 mm. I was wondering why when it was the tool diameter that was changed from 12.7 to 12.68?
@opensourcecnc24 күн бұрын
Because on open profiles it doesn't create any toolpath with the final depth set to the face, unless you use the 0.02 mm height hack.

@opensourcecnc5 күн бұрын
@@torpemonguz I know it has some capabilities to do it, but I haven't tested it, as I don't have a fourth axis yet

@@opensourcecnc Maybe make a short video about the principle steps?

It wouldn't feel right to make a video without knowing if it works as it should or not...

A bancada CAM precisa melhorar ainda, mas já temos o melhor programa opensource
@opensourcecnc24 күн бұрын
Yes, it is a great program. The same can be said about the cam workbench. Despite all its bugs, it still is the most powerful opensource cam out there
