your explanations are very detailed, congratulations. I can make a suggestion: ribbon of RGB leds, or the 8x32 RGB panel. I had conflict issues when trying to add an RTC clock on this panel...

Thanks for your feedback. I have other tutorials where I have created my own library for both RTC and the dot matrix display.

Very Nice. Do you think this MAX7219 can be applied to a 8x32 Matrix/Array of WS2812B? "RGB LED Digital Flexible Individually Addressable Panel Light WS2812 8x32 Module Matrix Screen DC5V" and up the colours available, as well as graphics scrolling? OR, is there a better way to handle a single 8x32 such as this? You do really interesting stuff, well laid out and explained, been following awhile and appreciate your work.
