To prevent swimmer’s ear put equal parts of vinegar and rubbing alcohol in a jar use a dropper ( or a teaspoon works) to put in the kid’s ears after each time swimming. We grew up in Phoenix, Arizona swimming pools in nearly everyone’s yard. Our doctor told this to our mom years ago

Don't worry about missing things about your kids. I knew a totally wellmeaning someone that their child fell down and hurt their leg. Two days later, their child was still "complaining" that they were still experiencing some pain and ever so slightly limping around. The child was however, totally functional. They made an appointment for the doctor and lo and behold, the child had a broken bone. The parent felt so miserable that they had waited so long. It is amazing how fast those drywall hangers threw that up! (I watched your video yesterday, but was unable to comment, so I'm trying to recall what all I wanted to say.) I really like Walnut Creek products. We have an Amish community somewhat close by and have two Amish stores. One tend to be pricier, but they have the (tied) world's best donuts. (The other place is a little Sugar Bush that has an open house every year when the syrup is running...but those only are available then.) Anyhow we get our Walnut Creek items from the Amish stores. Are your kid's excited for the new house? I was thinking how "fun" it is to move and at this time of year, it throws the holidays off- then it dawned on me that you probably won't be decorating for Christmas (😔) and while it's one less thing that you need to deal with, I will miss it. The last time I moved was ten years ago today (11/16/22) so it's been a while since I had to deal with it!

We just bought a house. We've been doing just paint, new flooring, fireplace change and shutters. It's been just 3 weeks and it should be 2 to 3 more weeks until it's finished. We've been staying in our second home that is an hour away. Looking forward to moving in once it is all finished. Everyone says it has really gotten done fast, but it seems like it's at a snail's pace. I don't know that I could do a full renovation like you all. Best of luck. I'm sure it will be beautiful once you're finished.

Your children are all so beautiful. I raised 5 so I know all about not realizing everything your children are into and insects bites. When my oldest was 11, she was sick with what I thought was a virus and she had been running a fever. I had no idea that she was so sick that her appendix had ruptured! My husband was active Air Force and gone alot. I felt so bad as a mother. She ended up being fine after 7 days in the hospital. Talk about feeling awful about not paying enough attention. Don't be to hard on yourself.

Love all the progress on the new house. I use to babysit a little girl that was highly allergic to mosquito bites. She would scratch them so bad that they left scars on her legs. The only thing that ever helped her not scratch was Benadryl spray. I hope that works for Jaxon. Poor sweet boy ! I know they are miserable. We have mosquitos bad here in the summer too. Thanks for sharing your day!

Just a tip on Harpers food, you can smash the avocado and put it in ice cube trays and then after it’s frozen put in bags in the freezer! Then I would just mix a block of the avocado with whatever I was feeding them, like fruit or sweet potatoes! My babies loved it and it’s super good for brain development! 👌☺️

You certainly have a busy schedule right now but it will all be settled very soon as your move in date gets closer now. I love how you always have the patience to teach your children while you are cooking something…I’m afraid I didn’t do that as well looking back now after watching your patience in your videos. Your new home is going to be ready soon and I can’t wait to see it all finished. You and Nick have worked hard to get where you are in life, so happy for you. Yes, no worries of stressing to put out videos. You guys are so busy with the children and reno and moving. Hopefully the medicine will work for your little man. Harper and Oaklynn are growing so fast. Our grand daughter Wren same age is a fussy eater till now too. Her sister Oaklynn would eat anything but now she is 3 she is fussy. We have another new baby grand child coming in March. Take care guys, lots of respiratory illnesses on the go now.

I recently received my second order from Walnut Creek. Even with shipping, their prices are very responsible. I got the Farm Dust! I also bought bologna and some cheeses. And popcorn! They also have my favorite chocolates at a really good price. I also got some peanut butter spread. I thought that would be better than trying to make my own. I’ve never had it, but I’m very curious to try it! I’m going to use it to make the sandwiches you talked about in a video. Including the Muenster cheese you said you preferred. I’m so sorry about your sons leg! We’ve had similar things with my son. He pulled up his shorts one night to show me a “spot that bugged him” and it was a HUGE infected bump. I felt awful because I had no idea what caused it or how long it was there. He’s also had impetigo on his face. 🤦‍♀️. Little boys keep it exciting don’t they?!

Just wanted to add an aside. I had eczema myself and my Mom started washing all my clothing, bedding and towels and wash cloths with FelsNaptha soap and it really did help. I did outgrow most of it in my late teens. May God Bless you and yours as you finish your home.

I responded to you on IG when you posted about your son’s leg. My son had the same thing happen around the same time. My son’s did develop into psoriasis. He had to see a dermatologist for it. We are still battling it actually. So weird that happened to your son in Florida and my son in Tennessee. Love the progress on the house! It will be gorgeous! Don’t worry if you miss posting. LOVE Walnut Creek stores in Berlin and Walnut Creek. I tried to order from Georgia, but the response was that they were not taking new customers at this time. Might have been a timing thing so I will try again. Their ruffle potato chips are my all-time favorite of all the chips in the world. Your house is going to be stunning. Hi Lynnette and Nick...So glad that the workmen surprised you by having almost all the drywall finished. Hope its finished by the holidays 🎄but you do have family there you can enjoy and spend the holidays. Sometimes it feels like everything happens all at once and your head is spinning hoping it will stop.In the 50s when I was growing up my mom would never let me play and get dirty well this one summer I played a lot with the kids in the mud or sand and I got a lot of mosquito bites and they got infected and each bite had to be bandaged I looked so funny with all those band aides on me. Harper looks so cute in pink outfit and cutting her 1 st tooth. Hope the kids will be feeling better. Stay safe and well. The pork roast looks delicious. Is Holmes County near Cleveland Clinic.? My heart is still not normal and the Afib and blood clot just will not go away. So we traveled to Cleveland to see the specialist. As when we go next if possible we want to go to Walmut Creek!

my son had the same issue with mosquito bites at Jackson's age and as they are of an age that they bath themselves unless they say something (they will say less as they get even older) it gets missed - I just had antibiotic and an anti itch cream mix them together on a plaster and stick it on the bite at night after he showered and they cleared up by morning with that combo - plaster so the cream stays on the bite and does not go all through the bed

My oldest had swimmers ear as well. He would have Several ear infections which one resulted in a burst ear drum. Ugh, when I finally got him to a pediatrician that properly diagnosed him, he told me to just put a couple drops of alcohol in his ears after swimming or baths. When 8 started doing that e never had a problem.

When my daughter had eczema, the tests showed that she was alergic to dairy and eggs. And while breastfeeding her, I was eating too many eggs, but didn't realize the way it affected her until she was eating by herself and it got worse. Tested finally around the time she was three. We took about 2 years of strict dieting for her and slowly she got better, and now she's fully over it.
