Hello, can you tell me the difference between proportional valve and spool valve? However both are directional flow control valve.

The main difference is in proportional valve has notches so the oil are coming gradually but in spool valve they are no notches.

Spool Valve works on an On-Off solenoid, giving the designed LPM when in actuated position. Whereas Proportional valve have Variable solenoid, working on 0-10 V and hence open the cavities wrt the Spool, slowly, giving Gradual increase/ decrease of the Flow.
