Progressive lens
Progressive lenses, also known as multifocal or progressive addition lenses (PALs), are corrective lenses that help you see clearly at different distances without having to change glasses. They have a gradual increase in magnification from the top to the bottom of the lens, allowing you to see far away objects at the top, intermediate objects in the middle, and close-up objects at the bottom.
Progressive lenses can be useful for people who: Need help seeing at different distances, Wear single-vision glasses for distance, Wear reading glasses for close work, Do a lot of computer work, and Have vision issues like presbyopia.
Progressive lenses are considered better than single or bifocal lenses because they have no visible lines separating the different prescriptions. Instead, the prescription changes gradually across the lens for a smooth transition between viewing distances.
Progressive lenses are meant to be worn all day, but it may be uncomfortable at first. Wearing them full-time for about two weeks can help speed up the adjustment process. After you've adjusted, you can wear them only as needed.
