Looks like a nice box set... I borrowed a Yes box set of cassettes from a library 30 year ago... Didn't listen to all of it & didn't really appreciate any I did listen to... Please accept my apologies if this is brutally honest... It's just a description of my experience, that's all

Sorry bro that almost everybody in the comments are attacking you, or the substance in your video. To much gatekeeping going on. It's all good, I bought this to because I can own all two decades of the bands material for a reasonable price. There's nothing wrong with that, compress or not. The only gripe I have with the boxset is the discs are not protected, their just loose in the cardboard sleeve.

Good value? Yes (sic). On the other hand, Yes fans will have most, if not all, of this already. You kind of need something a little different to make it interesting, imo. Yet, the half-assed packaging does nothing to help things. No career spanning booklet - yet they had no issue printing a poster? Then the sleeves, which look like rejects from a Russian piracy factory trying to make illicit Japanese Mini LP's. I have to wonder why they bothered at all if they're going to make such a hash of it? No inserts, all the same glossy card stock, no inner sleeve so the CD's fall out all over the place, and the booklet missing from Fragile. So weird. The music is mostly great, so there's that. I just checked and the full retail on this one at the time I'm writing this is £50. I guess that's still good value, but i don't know..... if they'd spent half as much on the mini LP sleeve as they did on the box itself, we might have had a winner..... And don't get me started on putting bonus tracks on the end of single CD's with the album proper....

@Sebastian Have you ever seen a Japanese Mini LP? These aren't close. It's like they went for that, and then gave up after 15 minutes. The set is still good value, but I have the Japanese Mini LPs of these, and I can assure you, these are poor in comparison.

I'd be happy with the gate-fold cd's and booklets if they came with that cd. Poster, why bother?. I am happy with Genesis "green box" Kayak Journey through time and a ELO box set that has their studio lps (cd's) and Deep Purple. Not sure why the Talisman omission.

It seems those are those horrible sounding Rhino remasters. Over compressed, middy and harsh. Nothing makes Yes sound more awful.

@@TheDarrenLock Hello, I am not criticizing the video. I felt you were not totally thrilled with your purchase. Yes, it would've been nice to get the booklets. I saw on an online merchants website re. Be Bop Deluxe box cd set. Released every cd with photos and a booklet. Not for me. When in doubt, buy the indv. cd and hope it comes with the booklet(s).

It was £20. The quality is neglible, but great for those who want a quick hit and the complete Yes catalogue on a budget. This video was recorded many years ago so I don't remember what I did or said. Cheers!

As a collector, I prefer the paper sleeves because they are more like mini lp's, which are a closer format to the original 33 lp's but miniaturized.. You just have to store them each in plastic sleeves so they don't get damaged. But it's worth it to me as long as I don't have to deal with or see ugly, horrible jewel cases. Jewel cases completely destroy the visual and tactile experience, imo. I must be one of the few collectors that feel this way right now. Everyone seems to prefer jewel cases. Yuck.
