Mike Hermans, the only guitarist who's nabours hit the wall yelling to turn the amp up...

Damm - when you play that well, it doesn't matter what pedal you're pushin!! Sweetness that just makes me want to go back to the woodshed man...

Love the pedal - if only my playing would sound that good! A great idea for what seems to be a very versatile and useful pedal.

Great demo as always Mike. You demo these pedals with a lot of variables on the settings. But, I have to tell ya, I watch mostly to steal your chops.....lol Keep them coming!

Love Mike Hermans, and I love Burgs, but I feel like I don't really know how a pedal sounds until I hear Andy playing through his DRRi. :) Always enjoy Mike's playing, though.
@jspartacus10 жыл бұрын
That's about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. This is an excellent extended demo, with out any yammering. Andy's big on playing covers, but who knows how long that'll last should ASCAP come knocking on PGS's door demanding royalties. Surely there are a bunch of artists who don't like PGS using their music to sell gear.
@wgb0100110 жыл бұрын
If liking Andy is stupid, I don't want to be smart. Your reply seems unnecessarily aggressive. PGS is lucky to have viewers like you who are so concerned about their legal vulnerabilities. To each their own, guy.

Well, like I said - to each their own. Listen, Mike Hermans is fantastic, but every pedal just sounds like "him" to me. Every overdrive sounds exactly the same. With Andy, I really feel like I know what the pedal sounds like. He may only showcase 3 specific settings, but they give great examples of how the pedal can be used. That, and I can really zero in on what the OD really sounds like. But hey - that's why it's good that PGS has both guys.

The '59/'87 switch on the pedal's plexi side kinda confuses me. While the description says that "'59" stands for a JTM type of tone and the "'87" mode represents the sounds of JMP amplifiers, actual JTM amps weren't around until 1962 and JMP amps were only built between 1967 and 1981. Would have made more sense to me if the '59/'87 switch let you choose between the tonal characteristics of either a 100 Watt (1959 SLP) or a 50 Watt (1987) plexi.
@RorysIrishTour9 жыл бұрын
Tido0815 normally the 1959 is the Superlead, right? Maybe they wanted to say its more like a 59 Bassman, i guess 2245 for JTM45 would be too long.

That's it. That's the perfect sound. Though, I have a feeling a lot of that incredible sound comes from your equally incredible playing. If I ever find one of these for closer to the $200 mark, I'll likely spring for it if I can. And that's your fault. Excellent demo!

Can there be a reason for natural harmonics to sound different between guitars?? What mike does at around 1.44 with alternating open natural harmonics between 7th and 12th fret sounds different in my PRS as in not the same notes :S

Marc Hirschman Thanks a lot for your help! I've got to admit that the riff is very Hendrixy and the chord progression (D, A, Bm, G) is similar to the one used in Bold As Love (and also to Under The Bridge - which he also plays right after - shifted 1 tone lower). But it's not Bold As Love. It seems to me that if what he plays is really something known, we should find it with the harmonics he plays between 1'41'' and 2'00''. We will find it! Eventually :)
