In 1996 my father was diagnosed with parkisons abd dementia he got 850 a month from social security. His medicine was 800 a month. Had to take him to hospital i was told you have to go down and pay 750.00 before we can admit him. I called social security finally got someone to talk to me. My question was can i get any insurance to help other than Medicare. Her first question was whats his diagnosis. I told her she replied because he has preexisting condition no insurance company will take him. I was floored. People you dont want to go back to that. Families lost thier family homes because a wife got cancer well back then good luck with a hospital or hospices to let you make payments if they did interest was so high you never got it payed off. So keep these people out of office so we can keep moving forward for the average Families.

I’m still paying my hospital bill from last year because I was admitted on “observation” for two and a half days. My husband’s insurance paid but there’s a lot left over. Medicare won’t pay. Because even tho I was there for two and a half day, I wasn’t “admitted.” Plus I had one ER visit two weeks prior due to the same thing. Then (I’m still raising adopted grandkids) my then 10 year old had a bike wreck and was knocked unconscious. Still paying for that ER visit. Then yesterday my 13 year old son had a bike wreck broke his wrist. So now that will be added to my bill. Plus all of the ortho visits we will have beginning next week. It sucks.

Between the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) and SAVE, my life has forever changed for the better. My payment is 1/3 of what it was, and I know in six years, I'll be done paying for good. I am now able to provide for my family, and it scares me to no end that one day, these programs would just end. My daughter is in college now studying to be a teacher, and if these programs end, she is considering going into a different profession. Jobs like mine in social services, teachers, and other types of care workers make this country run. And the Right seems to want to bring pain to those very people. Project 2025 literally states that the PSLF encourages people to get into public service professions over ones in the private sector therefore, PSLF should be abolished. I will do everything in my power to stop them!!

As a person who worked for a billionaire family on their plantation as i made my way trough undergraduate college, i have had some thought provoking conversations with these people and their visiting contemporaries. What they told me was a belief that most, but not all, of them shared. Even though I just learned of "Project 2025", I've heard so much negativity over the last 8 years it is nice to hear positive solutions to the real, everyday problems most of us experience. My sister lives in a Red state (IA) and does not have paid medical leave even though she had to have emergency surgery. My brother lives in a different Red state (FL) and didn't have access to low cost, low income healthcare for a serious heart condition until he relocated to a Democrat run state! I was in the Navy for 6 years out of High school and gained electronics skills which got me a job in electronics manufacturing mainly debugging equipment that failed. Diagnostics were written in microcode and assembly and in troubleshooting I used and altered code to make it easier for me to solve the problem. I worked for a few different manufacturing companies in computers and networking till I was 38. A lot of manufacturing was being sent overseas and i could see it would be ending. I went to night school at a community college while I continued to work. After my first semester I got my first programming job at a company that automated television programming. I went to night school 3 years for a 2 year degree in software development. I paid as I went, no loan. I worked for about 5 different companies before the one where I am working now. I finally have that 6 figure income and live fairly comfortably in a nice place, I wouldn't say I have a treasure trove waiting for retirement but I have no plans to stop working. I work at home and I can do that as long as I have the wits to do it. I did it myself with no loans but I have no problem with investing in young peoples education, its good for them good for the places pay their taxes, good for the GDP we spend more money on things with less return.

I heard a radio story on Qubec canada. They decided to subsidize day care. Result: more women in workforce spending $$ and long term more jobs for day care workers, teachers etc
