Ekiti should concentrate on boosting Cocoa production. The price growth of Cocoa in 2024 was higher than that of Cryptocurrencies. All these white elephant projects add no little value. Avenue for siphoning money!

They need infrastructure such as Airport, Rail, and roads to be able to move the Cocoa and other Agric products. As a landlocked state, Airport is not a bad idea and a good start.

@ I think they need more roads and rail infrastructure. Airport in my mind should be the least priority for them. It is just an avenue to raise money for the boys. The Airport project is not viable. How many people will fly to Ekiti? What they would have used that money for is to help small and medium scale businesses. Why doesn’t the state concentrate on doubling or tripling her cocoa output? She produces about 40MT annually. Why not plan to take it to 150 MT and develop infrastructure to support value creation/addition? Why not support poultry farming in the state? This Airport thing is not a priority. Use the Airport at Akure or in Ibadan for now. When you get your industrial base up, you can start to talk about an Airport.
