Mercedes is actually really fast, think it was one of the only cars around Barcelona that did a low 1.42 lap. It is really fast on some tracks.

I've been doing a lot of setup on my 911 GT3 R and you're right, it's very difficult to drive fast. Hitting perfect apexes and driving smoothly is essential - but get it right and it's the most rewarding GT3 car in the game. SO much fun, it's my choice every time

Host. Which I think stinks because to me it's the most driveable car of the group. I believe that the same people who won last season will probably win this season too, because in series like this it's the amount of practice time, confidence and driver ability that converts into race victories - the top guys last season were the ones that were the best drivers.

Which GT3 needs the least amount of setup work? This is my first GT3 season and I‘d rather spend my time practicing instead of setting up the car. So far I tested a lot in the Renault, Audi, Ginetta and Lambo.

I think the Audi and Lambo are relatively easy to drive on the default Stable setup. Obviously a bit of setup work is pretty much required if you want to keep up with the top guys, but the stable setups are always an awesome base

Totally agree, Audi is specifically well balanced by default, I just tune tires, braking and cooling. On many other cars I have to go into suspension settings and spend few evenings to get better setup

I was really surprised by the Cadillac cts-v. Really easy to set up, predicable and fun to drive. I set some really quick times with it last night and didn't feel like I was on a knife edge to keep it on track like some of the cars.

The key to driving the M6 is shifting the weight bias 1 or 2 clicks to the rear and building your setup from there. It feels a lot better around the corners.

Going into my 4th season of the AOR GT3 series on Xbox. Been in the Porsche since Season 7 and will continue to drive it in the Elite Tier for Season 10. Such a fun car to drive and once you've figured out how to set it up properly, it can stay with most of the other cars without issue.

The M6 is just a beast if you run Stable setup and tweak some small bits. You get rid of that floaty boat feeling and it just eats all tracks.

the 488 GT3 is a pure joy to drive. A car that needs minimal setting changes to get it ready for competitive racing. I race with 5.1 surround sound with surround speakers right behind my playseat near the level of my ears. I have a pair of buttkicker gamer 2 tactile transducers under my racing seat hooked on a 800watt 4 channel audio amplifier which takes the tactile sound from the tv headset output (paired transducers give stereo rumbling over kerbs and bumps aka you can feel every rumbling in both left and right tyres of the car) and when i jump behind the thrustmaster's f1 add on wheel i get totally abstract of suroundings by the experience driving the pransing horse with the poetic V6 engine sound

Think you should just go with the car you like the best. Being a huge Lamborghini fan I always go with the Huracan when I drive the GT3 category, so I'll have to give it my vote. Have to agree that the sound is just weird and completely off. Listen to any real-life onboard video and it sounds nothing like it does in the game. Such a shame.

Audi is not my favourite, but, in general, is a very stable car and your races will be long, I think it will be the best one for your racing style... Audi and Lamborghini for stability in my opinion...

Great video. I'm just entering AOR GT3 season 15 and was thinking McLaren but now I think the R8. McLaren is fast and stable but I find the sound a bit boring. What I like about R8 is that it can be more fun with a bit of drifting and easier to correct than McLaren. Anyway, thanks for the video.

The R8 is a lot of fun to drive, would be my choice out of your choices. The M6 was pretty dominant at Bathurst IRL, but it doesn't sound great in PC2. You're not tempted to use the AMG for the Goodsmile Racing livery? :)

cmbunit01 the M6 (and M8 since they’re the same power plant) doesn’t sound good irl. It’s so muffled by induction noise and sounds like it breathes through a straw. It may sound decent on its own but when it is surrounded by the other cars in its class (GT3 and GTLM) it’s practically the shy kid at the back of the classroom.

If this was Iracing i would be saying Merc.. cause thats it the easiest car to get up on speed with and setup aswell (mainly cause there are just 3 different suspension options to choose on) but now we are in PC2 sooooooooo... Good luck on the season. :)

You should race which ever car gives you the most confidence to push hard without mistakes being catastrophic. I feel like that will either be the Lambo or the Audi for you. The Porsche is cool but it seems to have been screwed in the overall performance - or at least, I've rarely seen anyone be truly competitive in it. I think the Lambo is my personal pick because I think every man and his dog will either be in the Audi or the BMW.

Yeah, def don't pick BMW M6 haha, it's a damn drift missile if you want to get max of it (I drive it a lot, very fun but too dangerous) Both Audi and Lamborghini are great in terms of driving and performance (I think they use same engine?), I also like Audi a bit more, BUT I've noticed that after just couple laps I'm getting engine damage on both of them and it slows you down more and more through the race, maybe it's my driving style and I overrev it too much, but cooling it better doesn't really help Can you try Audi it for few more hot laps and check engine damage? It also overheats much easier than BMW in my case

RickyBrosh Racing I typically damage it without overheating, it stays below 95 °C (I hate that I have to run on pretty much wide open radiator on Audi), the only way to slow down damaging I've found is to shift earlier when it gets close to the red zone, but it's really easy to forget because other GT3 cars seems to be ok with that So I'd prepare another car just in case :) Anyway good look in the new season, Ricky! I wanted to try get into AOR in the summer but happily broke my ankle last week lol, no simracing for about a month :(

You should definitely go with whatever you're most comfortable with. I just recently came back to the game after some months and I decided to go through every GT3 car again and I'm curious what you think about the Mercedes. Did they change the car at some point? Before I found it to be like driving a boat and it was one of my worst cars by far alongside the BMW, Aston and Bentley. But suddenly after returning to the game I beat my best lap in my previous best car, the Ferrari, on my FIRST lap out with it. It suddenly felt way more nimble than I remember it being and I'm much faster with it. Tuned it a bit more and shaved even more time off too. tl;dr: Try giving the Mercedes a fair shot. I used to dislike it like you seem to, but it surprised the hell out of me.

The Mercedes is better now no doubt, still feels heavy and a bit boaty IMO. Dont like The front end on hit, sucks its fast and looks really good both inside and out. From The WR page its really fast, crazy fast on some tracks. So man cars to choose from!

All tiers will be super competitive. I think the difference between Tiers 1-3 is smaller than ever! The lambo is fast and stable, but has a very light frontent, so just like the Porsche it will not like to turn in the wet, but you have traction. I am sure you can fix either with a setup. Generally, the lambo is the good looking Audi, faster in a straight line but no front end downforce. You said in the video, you like more nimble cars, so recommend to really look at the Ginetta. If you take the M6, there's a good helpful group around Shooter and poisike helping each other across tiers. I'll just join them. I value stability and consistency over a nimble car, and make my positions usually by being quite consistent.

Stephan difficult to pass up the Renault in the wet, i dont even change setups from dry to wet and find it exceptional to drive. Ricky, turn that traction control off and you can drive a lot better, especially in the rain.

pick the mclaren!! i preach this car a lot here but i love it, even though i know the audi and amg are a little quicker. and the lambo has the exact same engine the audi does, they both use audi v10's, and i personally hate the sound of both of them i have a baseline mclaren setup that i made at catalunya that tames the mclaren completely, i spent more time than id like to admit with it. youre welcome to have it if youre considering the mclaren

It was my favorite around Sonoma, love that car. But at the same time ive done some races in it and i make alot of mistakes in it and have a hard time staying consistent. The M6 sounds like the engine has a blocked nose (but generally I hate the sounds in PCars2 anyway). Surprisingly the Audi actually doesn't sound like you're listening to it through a 1930's tannoy speaker! Booo I can't vote for the AMG (when there's an AMG, drive the AMG).... For an endurance(ish) series, you need to drive a car you're comfortable in, so that rules out the Porsche, the M6 and the McLaren.. I voted for the Audi but the Huracan would be a close second (AMG! AMG! AMG!) Hooray for Ruapuna on the schedule! More NZ tracks! ;)

Yeah it sounds pretty awful, the outside sounds in PC2 are shit imo but the inside sounds are pretty good. Haha love the AMG in iRacing and other sims but in PC2 it does just drive like a big boat. Viperion_NZ to be fair though the M6 sounds pretty terrible in person. I go to most GT races I can in the UK, So like the Blancpain GT3 series and British series and it just has no real engine note it just an odd noise ans then you get the turbo noise when they let off. The Audi and Huracan are surprisingly Accurate and the Mercs aren't to far off. Porsche are off though.
