Project CARS Xbox One Gameplay - First Xbox Gameplay 1080p HD

This is the first Project CARS Xbox One gameplay, captured direct from a near final version of the game in 1080p by us at Outside Xbox. There's been plenty of speculation over the lack of Xbox One footage, but as you can see from this gameplay it very much exists. Obviously this isn't the finished article, now due to be released in May, but it's already looking great.

Omfg I hate when people argue over consoles vs PCs, I have a PC as well as an Xbox, and I like them both. Games are for fun. Not for arguing. Looks pretty good for the Xbone port, but the PC version is still a little better looking. The weather effects here are impressive, but on the PC, man that rain. Though I am pretty happy Project CARS is coming to other platform as the developers deserve as many sales as possible across all platforms. Super fun racer.

TOCA 2 was the best racing game I have ever played. Somehow, new games cant quite seem to keep me as engaged or interested. This looks like it might take the top spot, especially with fully filled starting grids!

PS4 player here. I'm stoked to see the XBone version. It's looking great and look at those grid sizes, unprecedented on console (thought the Codies F1 games had up to 24). Was worried the XBone version was holding things up but relieved to see it does exist and is in such good form.

Fellow Xbox oner’s, I was a late adopter to Forza 5 and the latest xbox console having just purchased both less than 30 days ago. Even after trolling Forza forums, I really had no idea the difference in game play between Forza 4 and Forza 5. Having said that, a Forza 5 commenter sent me down the Project Cars rabbit hole and now hear I am, amazed by the level of greatness that has gone into this game. Can’t wait to own/play Project Cars and use the Forza 5 case as a beverage coaster. Cheers!

Does anybody have an idea of how many people will be able to race in multiplayer? I know the huge amount of AI is cool in single player, but I am hoping for at least 16-24 in multiplayer.

absolutely cant wait for this... I am kind of scared of a 30 man race, especially on narrow tracks such as the nurburgring. That was my main issue in Forza 5 was the sheer amount of cars in one race causes chaos. It was next to impossible to have a podium finish in that game without trading paint with other drivers.

MarkB1507 it doesn't have games that make me buy the console, and i have G27 wheel(bought it $199 on discount), and i don't plan to spent $300 for inferior Thrustmaster, that don't even have clutch pedal and shifter, and you have to buy them as extra, and the total price is like buying 2 G27. also i prefer gaming on my 4k monitor

0:50 Looks like Codemasters-style racing, which isn't a bad thing. It's just that DriveClub does this sort of thing much better. Since the racing forum has opened to compare arcade racing games to "sim" racing games, this is a valid statement.

This will be very different in character to Forza, a level of simulation not really seen before on console that will live alongside. Hard to see any real race nut choose one or the other, you would just get both. This game will open up a new niche on console, but it's also possible to dive straight into quick race and have a blast. The GT3 cars are worth the admission price alone; start saving up for that wheel right now.

Looks like you are playing on a pad? If so how does it handle with a pad? I won't lie, I'm a Nintendo fan straying into Xbox territory looking for every scrap of info re this game which is apparently still coming to the Wii U at some point in 2015 and with a lack of wheels (ie none) for the Wii U obviously a pad is my only option to play this game with so I'm keen to hear how it plays with a pad :)

I was pissed before about the delays, but I'm actually happy about it now. Just starting my job, and the push back will give me time to build a proper PC and get a nice wheel setup. This game looks so nice! Looks great on consoles also. For the sake of playing with friends, still considering getting the PS4 version.

It's funny that people actually think this is a SIM. The flames coming out the back were beyond exagerated, the mercedes SLS doesn't actually sound like that, and don't even get me started on the physics.

I'm really excited for the game, but when the driver is driving straight, the steering wheel looks like it's not moving at all or vibrating. Most racing games don't have this problem. When the cars are going straight, the steering kind of vibrates.

I know that racing simulators have always had a much more realistic approach to game design that any other genre (Test Drive 5 had me so excited in '98. Seems so silly now), but this seems to take it beyond even what Forza could dish out, and I will give this a go.

Peter Crounse Forza has never been a full blooded simulator, this is a real simulator coming from the PC simulation crowd. While I love forza it is not a proper sim and never has been (GT isn't a fully fledge sim either). So Project cars will be a bit of shock in learning curve for people not used to PC simulators, but when you get used to it, its driving experience and feel is just miles better than anything on the consoles have had to offer.

Yeah, I've recently switched to PC gaming mostly (in the last 3 years or so), but haven't tried any of the proper Racing Sims, just because my interest waned after PSX (Sorry OXbox). I'll be checking this one out though.

Hi everyone. Can someone help me. I really want project cars but unsure which console to buy it on. On ps4 the control pad concerns me as in the past I found the analogue sticks aren't that precise. But I haven't had a ps4 for long so never played a driving game with the dual shock 4. On the XB1 I am wondering about if it's gunna be scaled down in any ways. I'm not bothered about all this 1080p crap and 60fps. Just want it to look nice and run smoothly. Advice !!! Suggestions please !!! Thanks.

Its it going to be hard to tune the cars? I recently bought a steering wheel(thrustmaster TX), and i used i little in forza5 but finding it harder to get the cars tuned(im horrible at that).

If you don't know what are you changing and why, it is better to leave it on default setup. But i'm sure there will be plenty of guides on how to setup the cars correctly.

People complaining about unrealistic trees. Just tell me can you spot the differences in "bad" or "good" trees when driving a race car 200-300 km/h? Because that's what this game is all about, not looking at trees.

That's a really, really tough question. I love them all for different reasons, and I'm more excited by road car tech than I have been since I was about 11 years old. Weirdly, I think my favourite might be the 918, it seems super versatile and I love that it looks like a sci-fi version of the Carrera GT. - Mike
