Hello from Canada and thank you very much for your insightful and beneficial stream. As a reminder, for farming and extra water collection, you can chop and split coconuts. They'll act act as rain collectors which are great for farming and an extra source of drinking water too.👍

@@UndisputedNoobs Very nice to meet you too and it's a great idea behind your extremely helpful idea and suggestions for the new players. The game is awesome but the devs don't hand hold, (which is great, I believe), so some of the mechanics and abilities are a lot to take in when beginning...a learning curve. Your video will help us all a lot.

Chopping the plentiful palm fronds into 3 sections are a great source of compost material for farming as well as utilizing for the upgraded cloth healing wraps.

Planting such berry bushes as the Hawaiian Berry bush supplies you with a great source of berries plus it provides small sticks. Not all of the berry bushes render sticks though.

Evidently, the sharks can attack you through the walls of the submarine... And not leave a mark on the paintwork. Clever sharks. For a couple of berries and a can of carrots, is it really worth risking your life for? It's easier to slice a coconut in half and use the shell.

Need help guys, I have one playthrough I started but then started another one I noticed on my first playthrough it was giving me tutorial tips kind of like a guideline where to go what to do and on my second playthrough none of its popped up has anyone else encountered the same issue

make a spade and go get ginger. Its a plant on the 1st island by the rocks in the little tributary of water. Eat that and it should cure you.

Build a raft and go to other islands. Tons there. Break down the car too. I think you get some there.

Seems like a great video but you lost me when I saw that it was 2 hours long! I just don't have that long to watch a video. I love videos where you skip boring parts and cut to things that will help. Maybe try to keep it at 30 mins? Just my stupid opinion but I'm probably on my own. Seems like everyone loves it. Just wanted to offer why I'm not sticking around to watch. Thank you for making it though!

I respect that, I do a mix of short and long videos as some like one or the other but totally agree with time limitations. I try not to waste it with waffle or distractions. When I play a game I tend to do longer playthroughs and shorter guides. With Project Castaway there were a few bugs at the time and so I removed a few of the shorter videos and just uploaded this single session. Also I don't edit so it's all live, partly for my own time management but also because often I find the cut parts are the bits I need or where I get stuck :) I appreciate some of the time wasted is just me grinding that could be removed. One thing I can do to improve this for you and I will make an effort for is timestamps so you can just get to exactly what you need.

there's no real reason to build hut so close to beach right?..apart from the ambience :)

I would say the main reason is easy access to a raft. But yea no reason really.

@@UndisputedNoobs : i just got the game and had my first play. bloody hard to build things on sloping sand. things dont want to join up properly.
