what about materials for renderings and also families? we would not want to repeat families and materials for every project. the library and the template on the cloud doesn't seem to work for those.

Great question. This is the official response from Autodesk - www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-add-Revit-Project-Template-and-Family-files-to-the-cloud-for-future-projects.html The problem with this is that you would manually have to do this per project. Our suggestion is to create a project to house all of the materials and families you might need. Then you can use the Bridge feature to access the contents of that project from within your active projects. This should give you the access needed to use those materials and families.
