This is amazing! thanks so much for making the video, i giggled all the way to the end at 2 am like an idiot! some clarifications though: - the "secret levels" are not replayable because I just want people to suffer. - tiering is expensive because I want players to get used to the plants first. - i tend to design games with realism style so the stats would be based on how the character looks. - that level 11-6 is a long one, hinting you should use bigger plants but i only see two columns of repeater-powered plants, definitely your fault lol. @@tovi3280 Not digger zombie, the main idea is, if you start getting overwhelmed by the zombies, your sunflower will get eaten first before your main defense. If you lose your sunflower, you can replant it later. If you lose your main defenses, it's basically game over Also, there's a lot of threats like sandstorm, necromancy, imp throw, dino's throw, etc which make the third and fourth lane vulnerable.

For those of you who are concerned that Eclise might be too difficult, just today the new 1.7 update dropped and a part of that is an "easy" mode, which still has many of the more mechanical and puzzle-ish elements of Eclise but decreases zombie HP by approx. 30%, so if you want something still puzzling but not too difficult you can try that. I do definitely recommend trying the original version, though, as it might be one of the best examples of how strategic PvZ2 can be.

If it wasn't for plant boosting or power ups I already know a couple levels that would be practically impossible without premiums. tbh I was one of the first players in the world when PvZ 2 was realeased, and I played daily for maybe 3-4 yrs? until my acc was literally deleated by EA, even with the ID, evidence, the app data and everything EA just said me "Hey, sorry about that, here you've a new acc with 500K gold and 1K gems, enjoy it!" when I literally haved all in the game (even paid plants) and I got nothing refund, obviously I deleted the game and all about EA, I realized EA's sh*** and still the same. Oh, and guess what, that "refund" acc was deleated too of the cloud :). But I hope with this mod I can back to the game I used to love.

Easy mode and 1.7 is out now. They also slightly nerfed some of the "casual-blocking" levels at the beginning on official and easy. Some levels will probably still be hard even on easy, but I think it's more fun than ever now. The Night Egypt and Lost City levels are incredibly fun!

This aged poorly edit: if u knew little about eclise, the version danerade played on and when he made this video, was pretty decent and it is mostly as good as advertised, just unfortunately after gp2(the developer of eclise) got exposed for numerous things and refuse to accept any critism he forgot how to make a good game, and every update makes the mod worse and worse until he decided to scrap half of the game which put the final nails in the coffin, today eclise is nothing more than a niche mod(with a very small active community) that makes every level a brain rotting puzzle with not so beginner friendly early game difficulty

Thanks for covering this mod. I beat the entirety of it and immediately tried to convince my friends to play it. ECLISE deserves more players. Also I just want to point out that a lot of the difficulty later comes from picking too cheap of plants. People are hesitant to use the 500+ sun plants. Just for an example, 11-6 is actually not too hard with your loadout if the pepper was t2 (double damage and cost) instead of t1. This game tries to teach you that more expensive plants are sometimes neccesary without just writing that, but it doesn't always get that point across perfectly. Also custom plant skins are added in huge quantities.

To be fair PvZ 2 Eclise is not really worth actually playing, especially with the new version starting off is pretty shitty. In PvZ 1 you could start off and experiment for the first like 5 levels then it got harder and harder where as in PvZ 2 Eclise the fucking tutorial levels go ballistic at you from the get go.

PvZ 2 Eclise is the best pvz game. Well designed level, great integration of plants such as moving garlic to a world that complimented it better, difficulty that is challenging but not impossible, linearity which makes avoiding gimmicks not an issue and in general the already great build of PvZ2 being utilized to its fullest potential. I have played through part 1 and have only found one level that I thought was poorly designed, being 8-4 that relied on RNG for difficulty. Though that is just one and even still had a unique gimmick.

Remember when PvZ 2 actually had you beat a world just to unlock one world only? The Garguantar levels used to give keys but they ruined it by giving it all in one swoop, so that lead to you getting bored because you didn't actually have to work for the new worlds

Remember when PvZ 2 actually had the great big Gargantuar and Boss podiums that scale out to almost 1/3 of the screen? It would have been cooler if they would gave kept it because it really signifies the division of the two parts and the tremendous rise in difficulty. Now they deleted it just to make room for Arena and Penny's Pursuit which are great sources of new plants, but kinda gets too repetitive.

Bro looking back I'm slightly weirded out about people complaining about pvz2 being stupidly hard the game is hard but I didn't find it *that* hard imo(except dark ages boss honestly fuck that boss kept giving me magnet shrooms when I needed DAMAGE) and I completed all worlds(up to modern world, also my favorite world love the plants and style) before the seed leveling system came out, and if I remember correctly last plant added before I stopped playing was after aloe was added that kiwi fruit dude, I remember loving aloe as I liked defensive builds more often
