Surprising how much it has changed in 4 month's I'm sad about old town is being demolished but at the same time happy for the new mack hypercoaster that will be coming here with me having memories of old town back at the time where I was scared of rollercoasters and just hanging out at old town getting hot dogs from there. Only if the ride could be built at the back of swarm island that would change everything. Rest in piece old town 😢😭

I remember riding the Canada Creek railway to the farm and returning by the boat from the farm to the model world in late 90s early 2000s also I remember the Thorpe park fire that destroyed mr rabbits tropical travels and other rides it’s changed so much over the years

Well Shawn and Charlotte are making an extension to the Theme Park museum and their first house together, but I think even in their larger garden they might not have room for an engine and a carriage :p

I went on the trains to Thorpe Farm. I hope loco No:1 and a few carriages can be saved, cleaned up etc and put on display in the park.

I actually cannot wait for Project Exodus. My current favourite rollercoaster of all time is Nemesis at Alton Towers, but I genuinely think Project Exodus might take Nemesis' crown!

I remember going on these trains (before the farm but it use to just take a big loop around by loggers leap). I do hope it's taken to a new park and used to create new memories again! On a side note can't wait for the NEWWWW coaster!

I think I already said it once, but just in case... I'm genuinely almost as buzzing for you, getting to cover this after your years of hard work, as I am for the coaster itself. I presume we won't see any actual significant demolition / construction work begin until they've discharged the pre-commencement planning conditions. And, so far, there's no new documents on the planning portal since the decision notice. Hopefully won't be too long, and when they start proper, I'll be looking forward to watching your regular walks down Monk's Walk!!!

Exodus is going to be amazing I will see for myself occassionally, curious where it will rank in terms of UK rankings as Icon is excellent and Nemesis has the nostalgia factor as well as being a outstanding ride

Hopefully they keep at least one part of the Canada creek railway as a part of history like they have done with one of the logs from loggers leap. I don't remember taking the train to the farm but I remember riding the train as it went round old town and it was so nice. Old town was my favourite area as a kid

The Canada creek railway is gorgeous, I don’t know if I ever saw it in the park but it’s in such good condition, I hope they use it somewhere else. Also to the news about the Thames in the video, I don’t know what the water is like in the Thorpe park lakes considering they’re used for water sports but it’d be a shame to pollute it with the Thames water considering it’s reputation and how the water companies pump raw sewage into it during high rainfall 🤢. However I can totally imagine Thorpe park taking advantage of the opportunities if the river opening is wide enough. Imagine boats from London and potentially even Thorpe Park resort cruises 😂 however the Thames river is also tidal, we deal with loads of flooding from it in Oxfordshire so this could worsen problems for Thorpe park. I hope exodus gets well underway before they make any decisions that could result in unfortunate surprises for the ride!

I find it really sad about the trains as it was one of my first rides I did at Thorpe Park back in 2011. But I can't wait for Project Exodus chapter to continue. The plans about the lake definitely following it.

Definition of ‘exodus’ is ‘a mass departure of people’. Obviously exodus is taking over where the buckwheats lived they are having to move somewhere else and there is a lot of them. This ride could be themed around the branding of the Buckwheats.

i remember riding the Canada Creek Railway when i was a little kid! Always loved getting the boat over from the sunken gardens then riding the train back down to old town! My last ride on it would have been in.... 2001. I can remember doing Loggers Leap after riding then going over to look at the Colossus construction area!! Sad to see the trains go but I'm so excited for Exodus! Interesting with the whole connecting the lakes to the Thames. Do you think that would allow them to expand the island a little by filling in sections round the back of Rumba Rapids / The Swarm without many issues? Also as I have been saying to my friends for ages... Removing Saw Alive, pushing the land out a little and putting a Premier Rides Sky Rocket II in it's place!! (or something equally as compact)

Yeah, I remember the Canada Creek Railway being altered & then being done away with when/after SAW: The Ride came along! I remember rightly seeing a post announcing that Canada Creek Railway was being removed because of Thorpe Park becoming more thrill orientated!

hey there, really hyped for Exodus now btw now that construction can propperly begin now. I still maintain my hope that Rocky Express is relocated and reopened at Thorpe Park. There’s a sizeable are adjacent to Depth Charge. This area used to be occupied by Wet Wet Wet. Rocky Express could easily be relocated to this area.

I'm Sorry right but the Canada creek railway looked awesome! Those carriages looked almost new! The engines themselves needs work but the train carriages themselves are stunning! I'd buy it if I could but to set it all up again would be too expensive. If it is scrapped then that will be such a waste. They either need to sell it to a park or leisure area that will use it or fix it up and keep it at the park!

Watching this reminded me of Princess Diana. In the 90’s Diana took the young Prince Harry and William to Thorpe Park. Their favourite area was Canada Creek as Old Town was then known. The Royals famously rode Loggers Leap. It’s sad that Princess Diana’s Grandchildren won’t get to experience the area of Thorpe Park she and the Princes enjoyed the most. A nice gesture from Thorpe Park,is that the exact Loggers Leap boat ridden by the Royals has been restored and placed in the Sunken Gardens. The demolition of Loggers Leap is the saddest occurrence at Thorpe Park in over a decade. Princess Diana was a truly great person with a heart of gold. It’s sad that Diana’s favourite ride is being demolished. This year has been terrible for the Royal Family. Firstly Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away and now Diana’s favourite ride is being assigned to history.
