If you take the old bed off first, you wouldn’t have to crawl underneath to remove the hitch or bumper. That’s how I did mine. So easy to take off with no bed in the way:)

Nice work. I'm making mine from scratch and I'm not on level ground and the '59 f100 frame is real wavy so I can't slap a level on the topside of the bed. When you welded your brackets to bed to frame did you measure the same gap from rear to the front from topside truck frame rail to underside of flat bed? Any help would be great.

Hello, I have a question. I have a 2000 powerstroke and want to put a flat bed on it, the truck(dually/long bed) had a service bed on it and square tube was added. Do flat beds normally sit on the factory frame rails? We spent 4 weeks in Eugene in July2018. Thank you.

I’m pretty sure we blocked the low spots and welded to the frame. I thought we covered that part in the video I’ll ask James and get back to you.

Hey i just talked to James and yea we added a 1x1 square tube to the low spots in the frame. On this install we also had to weld and drill the frame to the brackets.

A little late, maybe, but the hitch and bag mounts were above the frame mounts that the flatbed needs to sit on
