I live 20 mins from Johnson Space Center. My wife works for NASA. This has given me access to some exclusive tours like being able to tour the space kitchen, where they cook and package the food for the ISS and NASA missions. I got to see the original menu of the Apollo 11 mission. The actual original menu. Can you imagine working in a place where you can just pop that out of a folder tucked away somewhere and say "Hey I just found this today, you can see what they Apollo 11 astronauts ate during the mission." So much history in those old buildings.

My favorite mission was New Horizons because it was the first time that we actually got to see Pluto...I remember growing up and having astronomy books showing the best image of Pluto, which was captured by Hubble as a grainy blue image.

Great insights and production quality, Eric. Project Gemini may be the most successful government program ever. I hope my videos will someday achieve that type of quality too!

Who else would be my favorite astronaut of all time? He flew a plane into space, mastered hypersonic maneuvering with the x-15 and became so legendary of a pilot, he landed on the moon. He really had The Right Stuff. Of course it's Neil Armstrong 😂😂😂😂 close second has to be Buz Aldrin. I'd love to high five him for punching that jerk in the face, not just for trying to deceive him, but trying to deceive the whole county as well. These men are heroes and risked their lives and put countless hours, days and years of work for the betterment of all mankind.

Great video Eric. But you won't get electrocuted from sensors in a spacesuit. The voltages are way to low. You will probably only short-circuit the sensors, so they'll read 0.

They used a toilet with two straps on the floor to keep one in place, the toilet had suction tubes and the waste would get vacuum bagged automatically and burn up on re-entry, they might've recycled the pee I'm not sure.

We need to figure out how to make a bigger dent in comets because if one comes at us from the sun we are screwed!

It's not about denting them, it's about changing their orbits. DART proved that we can actually do this pretty easily. It was wildly successful. I encourage you to look at the papers coming out in its wake, some truly eye-opening stuff!

How does someone who claims space travel as one of his "favorite topics" mispronounce Lovell? Also the random video clips having nothing to do with the subject being read is getting old. One in particular, you talking about mid-60s space achievements while showing a video of an early 70-s moon walk shows the editing team lacks a clue.
