Project Gotham Racing 3 Fastest Cars! - Acceleration Tests - A Class

The fastest cars in Project Gotham Racing 3 (PGR3) in a straight line in the A Class. Each car in the A Class has acceleration tests from a standstill with the following tests:
- 0-60mph/96.5kph
- 0-100mph/160.9kph
- 0-150mph/241.4kph
- Final Time and Speed at the Finish (The finish line is the start of the curb for the corner following the straight)

Very awesome to test their vehicles to the maximum strength. This video just give you an idea what to look for specs. Although, correct me if I recall wasn't there a hidden download car. I do remember it was a saleen s7 twin turbo.

I remember back in the day a lot of people thought the RUF Supercar was the fastest car simply for the fact it was the last to be unlocked.

That's often the case with unlocks in games, it's deceiving sometimes, just like some of the stats are. The RUF supercar is still very good though. In the top 5 all round for sure.

Man the TVR Speed 12 really got dialed back, or it was super broken in PGR2. Sad to see it fall from the throne. The F50 GT is borderline broken like the former was in PGR2.

The Speed 12 really did get dialed back, even the top speed was lower than PGR2, why did they do that?? I think the Speed 12 in PGR2 was more dominant than the F50 GT in PGR3. But the F50GT was clearly better than anything else haha

Not surprising that the Ferrari F50 GT is 1st place in all categories. I think the McLaren F1 LM has a better acceleration (reaches maximum top speed faster) in PGR4 than PGR3!

STRIBBERS GAMING Btw, they really nerf the hell out of the TVR Speed 12. Also we need a side by side acceleration of TVR Speed 12 in PGR2 and PGR3.

Yeh I noticed that, the top speed is way less in PGR3, as is the acceleration! I’ll think about doing car comparisons in the future

If you play in manual mode. You can start on second and accelerate faster.

This is true! However the comparison of the cars will be less accurate as my manual gear changes would affect the result. I chose automatic to make it more fair :)

No real surprise at all who wins this matchup. That being said, I'm glad Bizarre realized how hopelessly outclassed the lightweights (JP1, SR3 Turbo, Atom 300 Supercharged and the Indigo Concept) were and booted the three they brought back to PGR4 into B class.

You're absolutely right! They weren't even useable in PGR3 because of this, which is a shame

@@STRIBBERSGAMING I mean, they *are* useful in Speed Challenges because 99% of the challenges basically require using a lightweight car (or at least, something with gobs of power and acceleration) to power out of corners. But most of the time...you can just use the Ultima and be set.

I really liked the Ultima. I can't say I used the lightweights much in A class though. It would have been cool if they had some lightweight only races so it would have been more balanced

They really did a great job with the car selection in the PGR franchise :)
