For a 17 year old game, this holds up surprisingly well. I remember playing this on release, and it was definitely ahead of its time. Fantastic game.

Project Gotham Racing 1 and 2 were the best racing games I played and I would say better than Gran Turismo series.

Bit of a stretch. I’ve played all the pgrs and I also own all the main gran turismo titles, I just don’t think pgr is better in my opinion

Probably my fav all time driving game. I didn't like how in future PGR's they just had gold, silver, bronze targets to aim for and didn't let you manually adjust your target times.

I Remember playing this game a lot back in the days when i was a kid. It was a good game in the older days. Think it was back in 2003 i played this game for the last time. I fully recommend this type of game if you are interested in racing games.

The 720p are not native, they are rescaled. I in my original xbox connecting the console to the user x 2000 also play in 720p, and the truth is that the improvement over the native 480p is negligible.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. PGR feels nothing like GT. PGR is considerably less serious and arcadey, and specifically rewards stylish gameplay over the precision that GT encourages. As for the soundtrack... welcome to the early 2000s. Every game with licensed music sounded like garbage with shit-tier rock songs, especially within racing and sports games.
