The phrase "wasn't allowed to have my own game video game system until generations 3, 4, 5, and most of 6" caught an instant like & subscribe. While this wasn't the case (Nintendo was generally innocuous for my mom to be okay with), we weren't well off, and I was introduced to Pokemon Red as a very small child, and didn't get to play again until after X & Y had come out, at which point I played Diamond on a hand-me-down DSi.

Hell yeah. I’ve been working on my living dex on and off since 2021. I only have a few mythicals and ubs left. But I’ve been mainly doing origin dexs the last couple years. Finished ORAS, Gen 2, and Gen 5. Working on platinum rn! Great video

The custom end credits are adorable! Congrats! I went through my own catch quest back when X/Y came out, and worked on it through the OR/AS Release period. X/Y split its pokedex into different sections of the region, making it easier for me to fill in. Once I did that I started wonder trading for fun. The introduction to wonder trade, and the improved GTS of gen6 made me realize completing the pokedex was actually reasonable. I opened a spreadsheet and finished the dex! Unfortunately i got too bored of USUM to finish it and grab the new ultra beasts, and I skipped SwSh because it seemed to have all the same issues I disliked about SM to begin with, so the dex is no longer complete, but I still have them all stored away in my boxes in Pokémon Sun

This is cool! Ive been doing a similar project since march last year where im catching every pokemon in the generation it was introduced in to eventually transfer them all up to home yes this includes mythicals

Hi! awesome video, i didnt even realize how little subscribers you had until afterwards lol, most things in this video are very professional. You do slip up over your words here and there and take split seconds to enunciate words. This is usually easily fixed by doing your commentary in takes of like, 30 seconds to a minute and then being able to retake those if you slip up. That is really the only criticism I have, everything else is great! Keep it up :D

I wish I could just easily recreate this, but all Im missing are mythicals, for which there is no way for me to get them. A couple of them I was around for in pokemon go, like hoopa, zarude, and diancie (I think I still have the celebi research too, but that requires me to evolve a magikarp and those just never spawn) Im European (and not rich) so there is no way I can go these go fests. I dont think there is a conceivable way that I will ever get Volcanion, Zeraora, and Marshadow until maybe Volcanion comes out in ZA and they decide to make Legends Necrozma in 2029

I'm doing this, but with a living dex instead, its been super fun! I've done the living dex (mostly) for gen 9, im working on getting the ones i need in gen 8 and completing arceus' main story first

This is really fun to watch! I was out of Pokemon for years between gen 6-7 until I picked up legends arceus recently, and playing that game actually influenced me to want to do a living dex too! So far I have all pokemon in Legends Arceus, but I've never played pokemon go so I think a lot of pokemon I might want to get are out of my reach, at least meltan and melmetal are since Idk how to do it from scratch and it sounds difficult. I bought pokemon let's go eevee, violet, and sword at the moment on my switch. Unfortunately I'm not sure if I'm gonna bother with getting the version exclusives in the games I don't have since I don't have any friends to trade with and idk if I can trust gts to an extent. I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to get most mythicals besides Arceus because of the event stuff. Do you have any advice for version exclusives (i.e. paradox pokemon), melmetal, or mythicals? Idk anything about max or tera raids either tbh since I don't have any friends to trade with either. I'm not too particular personally with alt forms lol. Again, this was super fun!

So -For Meltan and Melmetal, its actually really easy. Once you do the initial setup in Go, just connect your home account and transfer anything from Go to Home and you'll get a gift Melmetal, then you'll get an item in Go that lets you catch Meltan -Pardoxes sometimes have events, but you can also try to look around different subreddits/discords for those and the breedable version exclusives. I'd help with the violet paradoxes but that's the one you already have so op. -Mythical wise, a few are probably going to be events in SV soon (Deoxys, Keldeo, and Zarude) based on a Japanese event, and ZA will likely have the kalos mythicals obtainable. I highly recommend serebii as a resource, it not only is a database for how to obtain each Pokémon in each game, but it has current news like events on it's homepage.
