Interesting mix with this build. Looking forward to your impressions of the Smoothie HP. A bike I have considered but nothing online for reviews. I had a Pescadero for a bit with 650x48 tires and fenders. It did not feel lively though quite comfortable. I traded it for a Bassi Bloomfield fixed frame to run 650x42 for commuting. Love the Velo Orange stuff. I have three bikes with their Rando bars, two with their cranks and several sets of fenders. I would have bought their Rando frame but not enough room for 35/38 and fenders. I am a fan of bar ends with 10 speed road builds. One of my goals for this year is a circumnavigation of London, Ontario where I live. Should be about 105km. I have a medical condition so I can ride about 3 hours or 75km+ normally. The first attempt would be a test to determine the route.details. I live in the central area of the city so you need to add 20 km to get to and from the starring point. Great that you are back to riding and improving your health.
