I just worked for a farmer for a few days and didn't except pay but instead he gave me 2 99 wjs 4.0 identical to yours I'm color 1 has motor issues and a good body the other was an insurance write off but good motor. I just got all the body Panels switched over and getting closer to on the road. I think your jeep is incredible and inspiring. I want to keep track of my build and do it as cheap as possible.

Thanks. Double check the motor issues. The wj 4.0 is known for breaking piston skirts and it’ll knock really bad but often it’s repairable and fairly easy and not that expensive to swap in better pistons. This rig of mine I did exactly that.

@@Scoobienorth knock hard or tick it kinda ticks a little aggressive but It settles once warmer a bit. I'd like to find a motor to rebuild slowly to learn more about engines I think the 4.0 is ideal for learning on.

@@stubbles8096 the broken piston skirt it’ll knock like a real cold diesel all the time, sounds like you might have rod knock if it’s ticking or bearings going. They are easy to work on though. They are forgiving motors so great to learn on
