In this video, I go through my process for project life by showing weeks seven through nine of 2013. We start with 4 by 6 prints and end up with four spreads documenting the weeks in just a couple hours. Enjoy!

I used photoshop, which a lot of people don't have access to, but I recommend checking out Photoshop Elements and photo editing tutorials from jessicasprague(dot)com. Will add a link in the description!

I use photoshop - since most people don't have access to photoshop at a reasonable price, I'll have to come up with a way to teach it on a different, more accessible program. Let me think about it and I'll try to figure something out. Thanks for watching!

added a link in the description (third and forth links) to how I do it - using clipping masks in Photoshop (Photoshop Elements is a great, budget-friendly alternative). Hope this helps!

I use Photoshop to get all my photos cropped down to size. I'll try to think of a way to do a tutorial on it - we'll see what I can come up with!

Love how quick it is to catch up! I didn't know you went to the U! It was fun to see your photos since I am a former Gopher. :) Midnight is a great choice for your college photos.

You're awesome. I will check it out. So sweet of you to do that and so quickly. I've been using Picassa but can't seem to figure out how to get the pic smaller to be able to mount on a journal card. I can make it 3.x 4 but can't figure out how to get it 2x2 - I guess that's what the size would be. Thanks again. Keep up the great work.

Are you using the mini photo pages? I want to do project life but I don't like the huge 12x12 albums. I want to do it my way

Yes - I'm using pages made by Simple Stories and the S@NP system. They're 6 x 8. There are several other companies that also make smaller sleeves: Basic Grey Capture system and Project Life (a new product series, produced by American Crafts) come to mind. Hope this helps!

I have a cruise upcoming and plan to use a SNAP travel kit for my photos and memorabilia when I return. I am relatively new to scrapbooking and have been doing PL in the big 12x12 albums. I don't have access to photoshop, so don't know the best way to "crop" photos to fit...any suggestions for a non-digital-savy scrapping Grand'mere? Loving all your videos--thanks...hugs, Julierose

Hi Julie - Photoshop elements is a fairly inexpensive alternative where you can resize photos like the ones I show above. There are a couple links in the description box below the video that might help you out. Otherwise, for bigger projects, I just get all of my pictures printed at 4 by 6 full size and then crop them down with a paper trimmer (and even use a window cut out of cardstock or vellum to get a sense of where I want to trim). This works best when you have a lot of photos to go through but don't want to spend the time editing them down. Hope this helps!
