The 9x12 album is fun to use and I love how it doesn't stick out too much when it's on my bookcase. I'll be using a 6x12 album for 2018 which will be challenging since there's not a lot of variety of page protectors compared to 9x12 and 12x12. Looking forward to your 2018 layouts!

6x12 is a really great in-between size, and I'll probably go back to it at so point. The main reason I'm changing is that I really like to switch things up

I've always loved your work. I scrapbook Project Life in 12x12 and I use lots of different pocket page designs so I would be interested to see the pages/layouts you will make with the different formats.

Oh thank you! I love the versatility and look of 12x12 but I don't think I could fit one of those albums on my shelves. Maybe I will graduate up to that next year.

Can I ask where you got the 4x4 with horizontal 3x4 protectors? I also think you will love the new freedom that is one thing i absolutely love about 9x12!!

I got them at Tuesday Morning. I call to see if they have page protectors before I go because they always go fast. I did a quick google search and they don't seem to make them anymore. So annoying! Maybe they will pop up on Ebay or Etsy at some point.

Thank you! I got the 9x12 album from Studio Calico and it came with 8 of the 9x12 page protectors. They also sell a few different kinds of 9x12 page protectors but they are a bit pricey. The albums are a little pricey too but they do have sales from time to time. I am subscribed to Kelly Purkey's monthly kit because I love her stamps!

Thanks again! I got most of my page protectors at Tuesday Morning. It's a store similar to TJ Maxx or Marshalls in that they get closeout stuff, but they have a craft section. They are such a great deal there! I just recommend calling the store first to see if they have them in, because they go quick. A lot of times they can tell you what days they get their shipments in. I've also bought some off JoAnn.com if they are having a good sale, or use the JoAnn 50% off an item coupon to buy them in store. It's definitely not necessary to subscribe to a monthly kit, and you do usually end up with more stuff than you need, but it does help give you ideas for your layouts.

I haven't heard of that store but I do have a Michaels not too far from where we live. You are so right about the monthly kits- they end up being wasteful. They're so pretty though! I used to subscribe to the studio calico kits but fell so far behind that I had to cancel my subscription. I am caught up as far as June 2016 as of now. I don't think I will do PL for 2017 and will start from Jan 2018! Thanks for your suggestions! xoxo

Michaels has the 50% off coupons too! That makes sense about skipping a year if it's too much. I used to be subscribed to studio calico but wasn't happy with what you get for the price. Also all the kits end up on sale about 6 months after they come out, so I have picked up a few then. I wouldn't even be subscribed to a monthly kit, but I just do it for the exclusive stamp set!
