Kurt Hofmann is “Project Business Excellence Coordinator“ within Siemens Austria. In this video he tells us about the training and the certification of the project managers at Siemens. He is responsible for this task for several other countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
"PM@Siemens" is a project management methodology within the company. Project managers at Siemens are certified accordingly to that method. Additionally to this internal certification the project managers at Siemens can also get a certification from pma/IPMA®. This is a win-win situation: Siemens gets an externally acknowledged proof of competence for their project managers, as it is increasingly requested for offers and public tender activities. The employees receive a sign of trust from Siemens; they get a globally valid project management certificate from a well-known international organization, which they can also use in their future careers.
