Hi, when I add to the default template towards the end there, the linked database, I set the filter to Default Template, save it, however my projects don't automatically create tasks or show tasks that correspond to the proper project.

Great question. I haven't found a way to do it. I would say that this is one of the hard things or negatives with Notion, especially when it comes to templates. Even making changes to an existing template... it doesn't apply to existing pages or projects that you've used the template in.

In regards to your status indicators. What is the code/formula for creating "Due soon"? TIA!

What do you consider something that is "Due soon"? Is it within a week, a few days, etc? Let me know and I'll take a look but that is a great idea.

Hey, thanks, In short; soon would be within the week. Ideally a calendar week. However, I was looking for the code/configuration so I can replicate this “view” for due this week, due within the next 2 weeks, due this month. I just thought maybe you’d have a little bit of insight doing this. I was a big Asana user and during my migration to Notion, there were a few methods/features I was hoping to bring over!

Great video! How do you manage completed projects? When I click on a task to relate it to a project, it shows a big list of my projects (in progress and completed). Do you know how to limit the selection to show only in-progress projects?

I'm not exactly sure where you are looking but the main thing I would say is use a Filter to make sure you only see what you want to see... so in this case.... only "In-progress" projects.

Thanks for the reply! It’s within the master task database, I click on the relation property and it displays a list of all projects. I’ve applied filters in the project database but it still sadly shows the whole list when I try to relate within the task. I will keep messing around with the filters, thanks!

ahh... I took a look at it and I think I know what you are talking about. So you want to see all the Tasks of only In-progress projects. Is this correct? Here's what I would do... I would add another Property / Column in the Tasks database called "Project Status". Make it a "Rollup" type and choose "Projects" for the relation and "Status" for the property and then do a filter on "Project Status". Let me know if that makes sense.

@@EverydayTechTV Kind of... I am using a button to add new tasks to my master task database. When I click the button, it opens the new task page, where I add the details... I click on "projects" relation and it shows a big list of projects I can link to (from my "projects" database). The issue is it shows both "in progress" and "completed" projects, resulting in a really long list which is a pain to scroll through. I want that list to only show "in progress" projects. Thanks for your help with this!
