What a pleasant surprise, twice in the same week. You're looking fit and well, ready to start again with something I'm hoping. Thanks Johny, take care, and hope to see you soon.

Hi Phillip, tbh I've got loads of stuff I still want to cover, but having gotten distracted with other stuff I've not been nearly as productive as I'd hoped.

Hi Spence - well it was thanks to Chris I remembered I had that vlog still kicking around! It's nice how all the boat vloggers have their own take on things.

Nice to see you again Johnny after so long a break. I was truly saddened when you had to make the decision to sell your boat, but I certainly understand why you did. I wish you all the very best along this journey we call life, which sometimes throws a few curve balls our way. May God bless and watch over you, each and every day.

Thank you Michael. Yeh it was a tough call actually but hopefully I'll go into a bit more detail about that in a future video. I hated to disappoint people but hopefully more vlogs to come.

This was an interesting short video, particularly about the thinner pin not bending. My boat has got one short thick pin and it is bent just as much as my thinner pins, so I concur with you about that. I’ve thumped it through stones on the Grand Union many times but I need a sledgehammer to do it! Your pins look like they have some experience and thought behind the design, particularly the choice of material with that spiral twist.
@ProjectNarrowboat Жыл бұрын
I think the rebar is a really strong steel, I've never bent one of these at all. Some other pins just seem to be soft by comparison. You can smash you way through almost anything with these, if you really have to. And the wide bits for putting the ropes through work well.

What a lovely surprise seeing another video from you JL. I didn’t realise you had another channel and have just tried to find it but can’t. All that comes up when I type in Johny London is some music videos. What is it called please? Hope you are keeping well and busy and in good health 👍

Hi Dan. It's not gonna happen this year. I've a lot of stuff to settle and straighten out yet but once my heads clear who knows.
@matthewjenkins11614 ай бұрын
Great idea that would be quite easy to replicate. I was trying to guess the diameter of the rebar and thinking you have 12 or 16mm there? Now subscribed.
@ProjectNarrowboat3 ай бұрын
Oh that's a point - I don't have them now so I'm not 100% sure. Certainly either 12 or 16mm. The thing with them was that because they were relatively thin, they pierced the ground well (even going through hard obstructions on occasions) and of course they were so strong that they never bent. The pattern on them kind of allowed you to twist them in but also gripped the ground. And when removing you could grip them really well. Way better than anything else I ever used.
