My goal this year was to try and clear off things on my bedside, nighttime moisturizers, serums, minis, sprays. It’s a clutter. I actually have empty spaces now! But the thing I’m most proud of, is I got one set of Alex drawers for my birthday. Finally this past month I went through sentimental makeup I couldn’t use anymore but was hanging onto. I threw it out. All of it. The new Alex drawers made me face facts that I cannot use those 20 year old products, time to go, and I did it.

That’s the inspiration I need 😅 I have the pastel goth palette from Kat Von D. I love it for the packaging and nostalgia but it’s just wasting space.. I haven’t had the guts to throw it out just yet 😢

You’ve definitely given me the motivation needed to pan my MAC stereo rose. I’ve had it for yeeeaarrrss. But it’s such a pretty blush topper/highlight and I’ve been wearing pink highlight all year. This was my sign to continue on in 2023 and pan it 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Kat!!! You must listen to me !!! I had the same issue with the Stila eyeshadow , and the only thing that really rehydrated them properly was a Mac setting spray! I took out all of the eyeshadow into a small container with a little spatula and every application I scooped some product a side in the container and sprayed it a bit with the setting spray. That is how I have used up the entire eyeshadow , and it was lovely and satisfying because I really liked the shade that I had. You must try it before tossing it!!! Could you do a video of your favourite eye base primer things? Or go through your stash and say what you think about the different ones? I use the Urban Decay one but don’t love it anymore, and I have no clue where to look!

The NARS one is really great and I also really like MAC paint pots if you can find a shade that matches you well

Hey Kat! For the perfume, you can try spraying it behind your knees if it's too powerful, that way you can use it faster.

Not that you should go back and try to save the Stila's you got rid of but I literally just pulled my old ones out yesterday. One shade (La Douce) I was determined to rehydrate so I could use and in additional to Duraline, I added a little Mac Fix+ because it just seemed like it need more fluidity to get back to its former state. I used it today and it seems nearly back to how I remember it! Now I'm going to focus on using it so I can enjoy it before it dries up again.

Hi, Kat! A tip for the Stila liquid eye shadows: mixing in eye contact lens solution is a way to re-hydrate them, and then they work really well!

Have jam every time I've lost my voice its really helped because it coats the back of your throat and stops it getting dry

I panned the Pat McGrath mini lip balm last year and finished it in 2 weeks. That's a good one to use up.

My favorite liquid shadow is Stila Twig. I've gone through one already and am about to finish up my second. Such a gorgeous brown. I may try putting myself on a pan challenge next year, it will help with budgeting for sure.

I’ve just about met the minimal goal of 22/22 (I’m at 21). I’m 100% going to meet it but that’s because I’ve looped in new products to replace other products in categories I’ve finished off like lipstick, lip gloss, pencil eyeliners, etc. I’m feeling a bit down though because I’m not going to finish off some of the challenge products I started at the beginning of the year.

I'm struggling as a new mom to do my makeup can you vlog a few days of how you juggle it all? I purchased a new bag I plan on putting everything I'm panning because I think that will be easier instead of sitting at my vanity I jist need to pack tje bag but haven't had the chance to

Hey! I know that struggle far too much! I personally hate vlogging so I won't be doing a vlog but I did do a video giving some makeup tips last year when my kid was a bit younger - kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6irl5Z_oblkl7M In that video I give some tips on which products are easiest to apply without much mess and tools, but as your kid gets older you can start using the more messy products (liquid foundations etc) because they are less incline to grab what you are using. I definitely don't juggle it all, when I film and am wearing this amount of makeup it's when my mum is over to give me a bit of a break so I can film and get things done... so in my daily life I don't wear as much makeup as you see here. It does get a bit easier as they grow up, my kid is currently 2.5 years old and he can play on my bed for 20 min while I get ready in the morning, but I tend to get ready in my ensuite so I can still watch him and talk to him. When he was smaller I would do a quick face of makeup out of a makeup bag while he plays on his play mat, and when he was a baby I would do it when he napped... which often meant I put some quick makeup on out of a makeup bag while he was sleeping on my lap. Having all of your makeup items in one bag helps a lot and keeping a handheld mirror in there means you can do your makeup wherever is convenient. Of course there are days where I have a really cranky kid who won't let me have 15min to get ready without throwing a tantrum or causing destruction in my room, so on those days I skip makeup. Having a bit of makeup on makes me feel like I am ready for the day, so it is something I try to take 10min to do (whether that 10min is at 8am or at 1pm), but it doesn't mean I can juggle it all... I haven't exercised in nearly 3 years despite really wanting to haha. Happy to answer any other questions! Wishing you the best!

My parents are living with me but only for a few more months and even with them here I struggle with me time idk what I'll do when they leave. My next purchase will be a mirror I have a small one that will work for now. What makes it harder for me is I work from home so I can go all week without leaving or really getting ready let alone exercising. I'm trying really hard to have some self care time but it's so much easier said then done. Hugs girl idk how you do it all with a channel to boot

Thank you! Yeah I have been working from home for the past 6-7 years so I get that it's easy to just not get ready. I learnt very early on in my working from home years that if I got up, got dressed, and put a quick face on, I was always feeling better and was more productive in my day, so I get ready even if I know I won't be leaving the house or seeing anyone (I was wearing green eyeshadow and I didn't leave the house at all yesterday), I still get ready to a point that if someone happened to pop by without me expecting it, I wouldn't feel embarrassed inviting them in. If you really wanted 10min for some self care and to get ready, you can manage it even with a baby hanging off you... taking an hour to leave the house and exercise is another story haha

smashbox doesn't actually make that primer anymore! they replaced it(and most of their other primers) with a whole new line!

Omg that mecca spf oxidized on me soooo badly. It looked stunning at the start then id look in the mirror and be bright orange! Shame because its a nice formula

Yeah I can see that happening! Mine just looked like a sheer temporary tan which wasn't ideal and didn't cover any redness or anything. The shade down looked like chalk on me so they need to work on their range. I just prefer to stick to their To Save Face sunscreens and add some foundation or concealer with it to customise my own tinted SPF
