I panned a mini Becca liquid highlighter last year. I had it in from the beginning of January and finished it December 11. I had about 70% of it left when I started and I did remove the stopper to completely finish it. I just used it as a regular highlighter but sometimes I did layer a powder highlighter over top. I used it nearly everyday I wore makeup. Hopefully that helps for your panning!

I finished a lip product in January that was in my Project Pan, somewhat unexpectedly. I thought it was going to take longer than it did, but that was a nice surprise. Congrats on finishing your lip product! I did a "month of red lips" challenge for myself in December, cycling through all of my red lip products and matching my makeup to the red lip I was wearing that day. The rules were that I used a different red lip product every day until I'd used them all at least once, then could pick and choose. It was a good way to get some use out of the reds I don't wear a lot (and I discovered that dramatic red can actually be an everyday color!), and maybe figure out if some of them weren't working for me and should be decluttered. I had a lot of fun with that. So much so, that I'm continuing this for every one of my color categories (I have a lot of lip products and a hard time letting go apparently). January was Berry Lip Month. Feb is going to be Nude Lip Month. Anyway - hope you have as much fun panning your red lip liner as I had with my red lip challenge!

I had a mini "sharpenable" pencil and it dried out. I think I used it twice! It had been sitting in a drawer for a few months. I think it's a gel formula in a pencil and that's why it's susceptible to drying out. Thankfully it was free (my Sephora Insider birthday freebie) 😁

I panned the mini liquid Becca highlighter. Mine was in the shade opal. I used it on my cheeks blended out with a sponge. I think it took 3-6 months, using it on workdays, so 60-120 uses.

Thankfully, I was able to finish 4 makeup products! I used up a lip gloss, 2 lip tints/blushes, and a garnier micellar cleansing water. I've already replaced the Garnier micellar water with the elf cleansing balm! The other makeup will not be replaced though so as to reach my goal for the lip/blush category. Super excited for February and hoping it will be consistent with January empties!

OOO That blush combo is so pretty! Using the two together to make a sort of gradient is genius. I need to go through my blushes and see if I have any I could try that with. Thanks for the idea! My project pan is going well. I finished two sections of my lip gloss palette and I'm on track to finish two more by the end of this month. I finished the NYX Bare With Me skin tint, meaning I can finally start playing with the Catrice True Skin Hydrating Foundation. Lastly, I hit pan on an eyeshadow.

I hit my first pan of the year in my compact setting powder, I'm very excited. Not really good progress in my other products as I've been in summer vacation and I hardly wore makeup, but I'm getting back to work next week so progress will be better on February

Not doing a proper project pan for the year but my goal is to use up 22 lip products this year and I finished 4 in January (3 glosses and a sheer lipstick, all full size). And while not in a project I also finished 2 eye primers last month, the mini of the ABH primer that came with the Sultry vault and the full sized NYX glitter primer!

What great progress!! Your lip category is killing it so far! I finished 1 lip balm, 1 scalp treatment that was super old and one deluxe sized face mask. I love how you mixed 3 products to create a blush. I have a lot of skin care empties for the month of Jan and 1 mascara empty. The majority of my make up collection is all new so it’s going to tough to see a lot of empties but my goal for the year is to see some pan or at least some divots lol

I've also been loving a cream based blush with a powder blush. It seems like a lot, but it wears down perfectly. I just love the glow & intensity! On another note - I'm new to project panning and this is my first year trying it out, currently just doing pan those eyeshadows and deck of panning. Really enjoying the process of panning, setting my own goals & getting a better understanding/appreciation of my collection. It's also helping with my low/no buy. Curious with panning, what is deemed a usage? Is it how many times you dipped into the product or usage in terms of I used this eyeshadow or lip product today, so that counts as one usage? Or is it completely subjective? Love your content! 💕

It’s up to the person how they count, but typically it’s either counted by each day used or application. :)

Yes it’s totally up to you, but I count it by application! So if I wore a blush one day, it’s one use. Or if I wear a lipstick and then reapply it midday, that would be 2 uses. 🥰

Sarah, do you have any pointers on how to get a goopy or thicker lip gloss to get the product off the sides to come down to use? I had seen a trick before about putting your sewed lip gloss in hot water in a mug and it worked w one of my thinner glosses but I figure you may have a suggestion. 😀love your content! Thanks Melanie! The only other way I know of would be to take out the stopper. You could then scrape the product down with a spatula and put the stopper back in. Hope that helps!

I just am struggling with motivation to do my makeup, and I'll explain. If you have some inspiration (or anybody) ,😊 I would be so thankful! I go to work by 5/6am at the latest, work 8-12 hr days, depending. My work allows whatever makeup you want, but it's not necessarily a "makeup occupation" because it's similar to a factory. I've done my makeup a plenty of times for work, but I feel like it's....pointless? I can get kind of dirty, sweaty at times, and usually have safety glasses on. Then I come home, generally, after 10 hrs and have no motivation🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I used to be very into my makeup (you could tell by Instagram & dates) and now here I sit with a huge collection not getting the attention it deserves! I've switched from a hoarder to a wanna be panner🤣 tips? Tricks? Ideas? Maybe it's just excuses...💁‍♀️either way, I'm struggling to break this phase!

I struggle with this too working from home! My advice is pick 3-5 products for a quick face that takes minutes, but still allows you to feel good. I find once I start my makeup, I usually put more than the 3 products on. Even if you don’t, you’re at least still getting consistent use out of a select few items❤️ Plus it always makes me feel good to throw on a little concealer, mascara, brow gel, and blush!
