Can you ask Robert's permission to recreate the pickguard and add to your optional G&L accessories? That would be an excellent option for vintage and reissue SC-1 and 2's. Robert sent me a Pdf of the guard five years ago but that did not come with dimensions. It's a handsome and practical add-on.

Hi Dave. I recently had a left-handed custom made Fallout based on Robert Poss's usage in BoS. In an interview with Robert somewhere, Robert believed the saddle locked bridge on the SC-2s sustain more, and helped with the droney, overtone heavy sound he got. I'm curious to know how different the SC-2 bridges are to the modern Fallout ones, and do the tremelo bridges sustain in the same way?

Love the micro tilt! I know three bolts are controversial, but that shit always was cool to me, wish they were available...

The saddle lock brdige NEEDS a micro tilt! I've been trying to get G&L's attention on this forever now after having had to shim 4 brand new G&L's. The Saddle lock was designed with the micro tilt. They shifted to a 4 bolt/6 bolt but did not update the saddle lock saddles which are extremely tall. The result, most G&L's with saddle lock need shims. Many of the tributes ARE shimmed and I believe G&L usa do not factory shim due to optics. Dave, PLEASE revise the saddle lock. Deepen the grooves. Make the saddles a little shorter. Make the neck pockets a little shallower, make the neck heels a little thicker. Any of these options will do but seriously it's a systemic problem!

@@YourFavouriteColor guessing my poor ass was lucky to skimp out and got a tribute ASAT hahaha, after setting up the saddles the strings are right in line, nice low action!

@@NOLNV1 if you examine the neck pocket I pull probably notice a factory sandpaper shim. sometimes you get lucky though and the neck angle is within tolerance. it is just a razor thin tolerance
