For the people confused as to the song's meaning: The song is about two people, and for simplicity's sake, let's call them person a and person b. Person B falls in love with Person A, but can't seem to get their attention. So, they ask everyone at school to bully and harass them so that the only person they trust is person B. (0:46, 1:39-2:37) Though, it doesn't go as planned, and person A can no longer stand the bullying and jumps out into train tracks and gets hit by an oncoming train. (0:32, 2:41) (Hence the train sounds throughout the song.) Person B feels terrible and cannot stand life without person A (3:13), so in order to reunite with them once more, they too jump out into the train tracks where person A died. (3:20, 4:32)

So In-game, I was vibing. Until the ending part where I zoned back in cause the glitchy audio caught my attention. Then the train crossing hit and I had to come look for lyrics to see if it was as depressing as my gut said it was. An obsessed friend getting toxically jealous and starting a chain of violent bullying on the object of her love out of some twisted desire to make the love mutual, only to accidentally make the friend commit Unalive and do so some time later herself? That’s so damn dark.

TW. More facts that make this song even more disturbing. If you read the official translation, It's heavily implied that the the girl who died Was r@p€d by a bunch of her bullies. (2:12 ) In the official translation, it says "Those faintly smiling beasts place a hand under your non school uniform skirt" and "your screams broke the silence of the summer" She was gang r@p€d in a classroom. The 1st girl heard her from another class but she didn't do anything, instead, she placed a flower vase on her desk. (It's used to pay respects to someone dead. If you do that to someone that's alive, it means you want them to die.) The start of the song, the 1st girl giggles, laughing at the 2nd girl. At the end of the song, The dead girl laughs because she successfully made the 1st girl kill herself. The 2nd girl's ghost manipulated the 1st girl into suicide and she got her revenge.

This actually makes some sense. To add on to this, I'm gonna mix this with another interpretation from another comment. 1 person crushes over someone but cant get her attention, so she asks her classmates to harass her. BUT, with your interpretation, they go way farther than the person crushing imagined, raping and bullying the girl, and the raped girl kills herself, and the crushing girl kills herself out of guilt because she indirectly killed her crush. The laugh at the start might just be out of insanity, but remember, *music can have multiple interpretations, it all depends on your viewpoint.*

Oh it definitely means what it means. The bullied girl jumped onto the train tracks and the train basically crushed and ripped her apart. The girl that was in love with her witnessed it happen and she was traumatized for life and whenever she saw the sky she basically remembered the scene in great detail. She jumped onto the same spot the girl died on and the same thing happened to her. GODDAMN.

Ok this song GAVE ME CHILLS 😭 as a headphone user, I could hear the laughing from the start of the song and at the end of the song. This song is put together so well. The summery feeling the notes express, as the vocals can be interpreted in many ways, the guilt in the lyrics, which are shown again in the nostalgic voice of the girls. It almost seems like a long sigh, since in the beginning of every line, the pitch goes from high to low, or from low to high. And the part where the singer reminisces about old times, would be like a cry out, a way to say, "I'm so sorry, and I wish you were with me again." This song, even though in the end, both of the girls mentioned would kill themselves, is lovely. and the CONFRONTATION after the bullied girl dies puts in more guilt in the singer. But the song is so nice and has become one of my favorite songs EVER.
