Great video as always! The reverse theory you mentioned holds some strength considering the song still sounds pretty normal in reverse. Maybe it's a okasan situation. I've also heard a theory that shoujo rei was based on a episode of a episodic japanese show. The song followed the episode to a T, except in the show, the victim turns into a hedgehog(which is possibly what the hedgehog line in shoujo rei means)
