That antoya interaction was so sweet! I love how he encourages her to be honest about her feelings even if it's scary to talk about it, also the parallels between them, and how he understands her because he felt like that with Akito before, I'm glad that we got this conversation with them, and also the card, since we don't get that many interactions with An and Toya, this surely was a big development for their friendship, I really wish we could get more moments with the two of them in future events

ahhh i'm so glad an and touya finally got to have a meaningful scene together 🥹🥹 they've always been one of my favorite duos in vbs despite them not usually getting to interact one-on-one much. i love how this chapter shows the parallels between them and their feelings towards their partners, since i've always noticed that but it's never really been talked about. one part of the vbs story i've always really liked is how there's anhane who are new to being partners and everything that comes with that, and akitouya who have been doing it for a while and thus usually know how to help the girls with whatever problems they're facing with each other since they've already experienced that earlier in their partnership. i'm really glad touya was able to help an sort out her feelings here :)

It really is nice to see An and Toya actually have a moment like this, since they were one of, if not the, most underdeveloped duos within the main cast (outside of random area conversations, you almost never see them talking to each other when not in the presence of their respective partners). They really needed this. And I'm surprised just how natural it felt. Like, I never really thought of their parallels until Toya brought it up, but it makes so much sense. Now I'm wondering if Kohane and Akito will get a moment like this at some point (assuming they don't already have one and I just missed it).

Kinda interesting how neither Akito or touya ever compared the other to kohane directly when trying to help an and saying they felt the same abt each other whatever blah blah It helps to put a wedge between kohane and the other three, they keep revisiting the same insecurities in their focuses in slightly different ways but for kohane she hasn’t been insecure over her abilities for a good year or more she isn’t worried abt falling too far behind anymore and absolutely not about an leaving her idk what I’m yapping abt ig just that kohane is completely different from the other three, no musical background, and no issues when improving her skill k whatever i hope this chapter helped some ppl realize that an is the whimp girl in the title and not kohane even though it’s literally her focus and she has always been the more insecure one

I don’t think there was ever any doubt who was the “wimp”. I mean, we have an event Kohane focus where she brandishes a gun and An is cowering behind her. An has always seen Kohane as strong and brave. It’s why she’s afraid of being left behind, Kohane has worked hard and is a fast learner (tho she did get help from Taiga whereas everyone else never did), so An has only ever felt insecure about herself. The only time she looked “down” on Kohane was their first performance. And it made sense cuz they hadn’t performed together before.

Unlike MMJ, L/N, and WxS, VBS’ focus seems mostly on developing friendships, family, and more with having fun with music rather than making it their main goal to become performers as a career. I think a lot of ppl ignore that, and see VBS’ story as weak. The VBS goal is literally just putting on a fun performance, rather than a career. And most ppl seem to miss that, complaining about how the characters “don’t interact”, or that they’re only focused on NPCs or whatever. They’re like N25, whose focus is on mental health and finding friendships, as well as their careers which don’t always even include music. It’s just a different type of story. Both VBS & N25 care about music, but their careers aren’t what they’re focusing on. It’s almost always been about growing up and their relationships with others. Which includes becoming closer friends with their own groups. L/N doesn’t have that, they’re childhood friends. MMJ and WxS just sort of immediately clicked after a rocky start.

Did you read the Leo/Need and Wxs stories to confirm this? I won't talk about More More Jump because I agree in part (but not completely), but you talk in a way as if the friendships in this group are not developed. Wxs had a whole arc about them being afraid of breaking up because they love each other so much, a big part of Tsukasa's story is him learning to consider all his friends and this is shown in events and in side stories, to the point where he says that He is blessed to have so many friends who are special to him. Leo/Need also has it, just because their story is focused on becoming professionals doesn't mean they don't focus on their friendship, it's because their story is about becoming TOGETHER, because they love and value each other, if you read Resonate With you would realize. In other events this is also shown, like in Live With Memories that Ichika manages to write a song because she remembers all the love she feels for Leo/Need, because she values ​​the memories she has with them and that made her move forward. . Saki, Shiho and Honami all also have several events addressing their friendship (Saki has Stella After the Rain, Shiho has Don't Lose Faith and Honami has The Kindness in my Heart), just read it to understand that what you said doesn't make sense.
