Great work mate. It is very tough to make wiring interesting. That is a very trick looking switch panel
@105colin3 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate, yea, struggled a bit with this vid! Those switch panels are awesome quality, the price is forgotten as soon as you take it out of the box

It's going to be great to watch Dillon learning the ropes over the coming projects.. there are going to be more, right? Quality of your work is superb. People under estimate what a pain it is trying to film things whilst you're thinking. You did right to crack on. I'm sure the design features will come out as more stuff gets bolted on. Inspirational stuff, Colin!

Top work as always Colin, that power control module and the switch panel are next level… nothing too complicated but the attention to detail is 👌 it’d be too easy just to slap it together (my curse!)… looking forward to the mill going in!

Just noticed those door bars and front cage legs. Hope you've got short and flexible limbs, that looks like it'll be a squeeze getting in and out!
@105colin3 жыл бұрын
Yea, it's a bit of a squeeze, I pushed the rules as far as I could with the cage , and with the removable steering wheel, it's not to bad. But yea, wouldn't want it to be my daily! Cheers mate
@hurst_luke3 жыл бұрын
Top quality work. I don't know why this channel doesn't have more subs. I love the use of an Arduino. I've utilised a few in my classic mini project.

@105colin3 жыл бұрын
very possible!
@GarageTakai3 жыл бұрын
Really nicely done, and looks great. If lockdown 6 wasn’t on I would offer to drop you out a little esp8266 Haltech CAN gauge for testing. It’s capable of taking the full CANBUS load from an E2500 with no issues with display, so you’re probably wouldn’t have had an issue. Also, wondering why you didn’t use something like the ESP8266 as a bidirectional multiplexer for the switch board? Could have just had a handful of wires to the switches rather than the ribbon.
@105colin3 жыл бұрын
Yea I did think about something along those lines, but i wanted to keep some redundancy, if for any reason the micro fails, i still wanted to be able to switch the basics on and off, so still wanted physical connections between the switches and the relays

Brilliant work Colin, I have yet to master (or even attempt) such dark arcane arts as Arduino. Did you have to sacrifice a goat? On a separate note, your lad is a natural with the spanner. Thanks for brightening up the end of the day with the video!
@105colin3 жыл бұрын
just one goat? Haha, yea, he's not bad at all, you should see him with a Philips head, i've got a table full of toys that need to be put back together, and a million tiny screws.....
