Always great work. Can motor sprocket be aligned with the swing arm link? Perhaps rotations the motor and fabricating motor mounts. I feel that chain is going to wear out the plastic in no time....just an observation.

Nice build pat, love your content. You might be running into some problems by mounting your motor “upside down”. the qs 138 v3’s gearbox was made to have the reduction gear point up instead of down like you have it. This can be quite important for the oil and went hole in the gearbox. By having the gearbox point down( as you have) you might run into some problems. Not trying to be smart, just saying you might run into some problems. Again, absolutely love you’re content

Already plan on rotating this motor counter-clockwise to fix a chain guide alignment issue as well. Appreciate you lookin out though!

Pat, buddy,bro. That front sprocket needs to be rotated up. The alignment is to low and it’s going to be a problem. Sorry buddy just looking out for you

your probably right! The chain is under alot of tension on the top so it's gonna wear through the plastic slider and it won't feel well riding the bike like this. Unless the chain is straight as soon as you sit on the bike 🤷‍♂️

Probably look at some pictures of a stock ttr or go to a dealership and take some pictures of it and get it close to the stock position as possible.

Hi Pat just a thought on your battery tray, rather than cut 4 seperate pieces , cut one the length of the 4 and cut the bottom flanges at the length of each side, then fold the top flange at each cut, keeping the box with only one corner to join, just a suggestion. Was that the same motor as Electro & co's Qs138 V3 kit, and how does that controller match up to the 260 controller? Could I use that kit with the 48amp hour 72 volt battery and come out with similar results as you got on the bigger Yamaha? I'm looking to convert a CRF250L Honda but want to keep it street legal, and dirt capable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It’s the other way around. The battery supplies the power. This battery kind of going to be the limiting factory of this set up in this case, 100 amp peak output. For example, my big yz250 battery puts out 350 amps peak with the same motor.

Unfortunately no, the battery will cost the same as the kit (so likely at least $1,600 altogether)

@@cookingwithdrew2790 that’s all dependant on the battery capacity and size you go with. 72V 30AH would likely get you at least 30 miles on one charge (also depends how much power/throttle you are using during that ride)

I honestly don’t have an idea at this point yet. A lot of factors to consider such as overall diameter size of rear tire, power output of the battery you’re using, weight of bike, etc. What bike do you have btw?
