Can i just say you are fabulous? I just did a twisted herringbone necklace for my sister for the holidays (only my 2nd beading project ever - the first was also a twisted herringbone! I dig right in.) and was thinking a bracelet to match. This is perfect. Love the amethyst tower btw. My birthstone. You are awesome. Your videos are tops.

Thank you Jill, I love this bracelet, as i do with almost all of the pieces you create and teach us how to make. Being in Canada, with our dollar value so low, makes it hard to buy your wonderful book. As soon as the dollar comes up enough to make it affordable I am ordering this book! Thank you for sharing these how to videos.
I’m rewatching this is I’ve made the two ropes already, but went clockwise whereas you’re stitching counterclockwise, glad it produces the same result!

I'm pretty sure I have your book. But my beading books are still packed from moving. I should be able to get those unpacked soon. It's been nearly 3 years since I also packed my beading tools and supplies. (Hubs was sick for quite some time, so unpacking was not a priority.) In the meantime, watching this video has been a great reminder of herringbone. Yes! The all 15/0 version is more "elegant" looking. And oh my, what a difference it makes to bead 2 of 6 columns of the rings with 15/0. The rings lay and look so much better. Using a contrast color is a nice added touch. How fun would it be to make 3 rings in 3 different colors? Of course red/white/blue comes to mind automatically for me. Then, there's the 3 primary colors. I could go on, but won't. I noticed while watching this video today (doubt I noticed before) that your verbal explanation in along with your demonstration really helped me understand what you're doing. I especially noticed on the bead cap - the main reason I decided to watch this tut. (someone referred to it on your FB group page).I have noticed that many KZbinrs don't successfully communicate verbally. So I appreciate your tutorials much more than when I first began watching tutorials about 10-12 years ago. Some talk too much! Ugh! You don't, thank goodness. I also realized, how you close the bead cap top is a perfect way to finish the back of a beaded bezel. I've always just sorta fudged it. Now I know what to do next time. Yay!!! I really like how it looks with 2 colors. Oh, and what a beautiful tassel cap this will make, especially a bit longer and in various colors with various accent/decorative beads. My imagination is having fun dreaming up ideas! Thanks for this terrific tutorial. I really look forward to this project ASAP.

Lovely bracelet, Jill. I'm pretty comfortable with the herringbone stitch but never tried it with 15's before. I'm having a REALLY hard holding them at the beginning and getting the needle in the right beads because my fingers seem to cover up the beads. Any tips/tricks for managing the elusive starting rows? (My first attempt was with silver-lined beads and that seems to make it harder to see what I'm doing as well. Going to try again with matte 15's.) Thanks for your terrific, patient teaching.

Doing this bracelet for the first time in 15s. I found an issue with the endcaps. You can correct me if I am wrong. You stated that the endcap size can be adjusted, but should be a multiple of 4. I tried to reduce it to 20 beads around, but it did not work with the decrease, which is a multiple of three. Since it has to be an even number of beads around, I believe it also has to be divisible by 3, as your decrease starts with 2 regular peyote, skip 1. Love the bracelet. I did it in medium blue.

Jill Wiseman Jill, I absolutely love your online tutorials and designs. But to put a tutorial up and refuse to answer a basic question such as what color seed bead? not only seems unlind, but as if Selling books is what this is all about. We all have to make a living, but kindness never trumps commerce.
@tiffanywells7748 жыл бұрын
i agree. there is a lot of information that she leaves out that ive noticed. thats why i rarely every even click on Jill's tutorials. if i had the book i wouldnt need to watch the online tutorials. if you want to sell your tutorials than dont put them on you tube. use Etsy or some other medium. people do it all the time. ive seen her on jewel school on JTV but the instruction booklets are usually way too expensive considering i can get the same info online for free.

I absolutely love this. I am going to try to make a few of them by mothers day *wish me luck* Anyway, I was wondering Can 11/0 Delicas be used for this? I tried doing in 15/0s but for my first go round they're too small and my eyes are having a hard time focusing. I have regular 11/0's, but thought I'd ask about the delicas. I don't know if they're too squarish/roundish (my own spelling) to use.
@genevieveberens82998 жыл бұрын
+Genevieve Berens I had time to read through all the comments, and see that at some point in the video you mention why not to use delicas. I haven't made it through the whole video yet, but since it's mentioned, I'll stick to either the 15/0s or 11/0s. =)
