I am envious. I would love to have all those supplies at my fingertips. I have been making cards for 8 years but lost a lot of my supplies in the flood last year. If I had a craft business, I would be my own best customer, lol. Thanks for replying.

Is it awful to say that I so wish I was right there on the floor helping you go thru those bins to make kits...LOLOh, what fun that would be. I love, love, love making kits so this whole series is up my alley. And of course yougave me the itch to go make more kits...ha-ha. Wow!! Girl... You have quite the stash.. have you ever thought about challenging yourself to do a no buy and get your stuff used up- I could scrap from your stash for the rest of my life.. I love this hobby and you make me want everything... lol :)

Nah...I use my stash all of the time. I destash often (been scrapping for 20 years!), but I also scrapbook for others and make a lot of handmade items to sell from my stash, so I like to keep a lot on hand as I never know what exactly I will need (for instance, a gal I scrapbook for just had a baby girl, so I'm thankful I hadn't rid of baby product, etc).. I have the room, it's all good. However, I do like to use up stuff I still love to make room for new, hence this series. : )

+nicmackin Will be fun to see what you will do with this but I'm thinking the same as Melissa. Made me feel ill to see so much. Even if you make and sell things you can easily scrap another 20 years w/o buying anything. Someone else mentioned making kits and selling them. Would be a good idea. I've been scrapping for 16 years-trying to keep my patterned paper down to 2 milk crates for now but real goal would be 1. Nice to pack for a crop and not have to take too much.

+Tracy Zook I did that a few months ago. : ) I packed up about 10 flat rate boxes and sold them here on you tube. : ) I use my stash for a lot more than scrapbooking (which I do for other people as well). I make multiple things with my stash that I sell in my shop and many other things as well. Because I do such a variety of things with my stash, I need variety and even things that are not my style. For instance I have a hunting paper pad because I make hunting mini albums to sell at my shop....that is one small example. I recently made the ceiling decor for our coffee shop with fabric, laces, ribbons, burlap that I had been collecting over the years to use for scrapbooking. Saved us hundreds of dollars. So while I purge alot, I have to be mindful not that I just won't use it for my scrapbooking, but that I won't use it in multiple ways. I have a space for each item and when I no longer like something or can not think of a way to use it, it gets put aside and i either sell it here if it's in good shape, or give to my kids or donate. I do this regularly and make very good out of my supplies. : )

I am going to enjoy this series!!! You always put together great kits!! Have you decided what to do with the leftovers from THESE kits? I"m thinking you will throw/give away the leftovers...it would defeat the purpose to just pile it back into a bin. SUCH a good idea to include a tool with each kit...I've got to use my tools more too....you've inspired me to make up some kits this week!!! Can't wait to see the kits and layouts! My guess is most will go to the kids. Unless I still really love it which is possible because some items are still fairly new. Hopefully this will make a good dent though! : )

i think I just might accompany you on this one Nicole ... I really want to make a dent in my stash and with the Cdn dollar as it is I will be making one more order with a little more of the new CHA goodies and then going on quite a lengthy freeze LOL :)

As the others have said - can't wait to hear your thought process and see how you put these together.....yes it's easy to put a kit together when everything is from the same 'line' (company) but to do it with different companies/lines is where the challenge lies to use up our stashes so that's why your series could be really interesting (and a challenge to you!)

great idea. I really want to see the finished kits or you making the kits in a video. then it would be great to see the before kit, layouts, and what is left like you do. Can't wait to see and I think I will try this too.

Well, I have been scrapbooking for over 20 years. Leftovers/supplies add up which is why I am doing this project. I also use my leftovers and my supplies overall to make cards and projects I sell at my place of business and also scrapbook for others as a side job. So, I make income to fund my hobby and my supplies are well used. : )
