Gives a perspective on why some Cascadian forces were so blood thirsty after the series of events that was the original Project Wingman missions plots. The war had gone on for too long, and they had had enough of the Feds. When they came back, aside from the goals of Cascadia as their objective, they had a personal grudge to pay back. You could hear it in Cpt. Woodward's voicelines during the later missions of PW, that he no longer cared for the Feds, as contrast to in this mission, where he would like to avoid as much conflict as possible by trying a ceasefire/retreat.

I don't know If that's the case.There was that one time in Mission 19 where he offered the Federation Naval Group to surrender but they refused,so he's forced to destroy them.

7:54 *_"This is where the TERMINATE WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE begins."_* It was morally wicked move, but tactically wise decision: when the losing side refuse to surrender without the means to withdraw, you push forward. Otherwise they'll just come back to fight you later. Cruel, but effective. No honor, morals or redlines: just victors and losers.

Tit-for-tat for the massacre of retreating Fed transports during “Cold War”

frostburn3736 I don't know If that's the case.I think it will just make the losing side even more desperate and bloodthirsty,taking their enemies with them.Plus,all that pushing forward will eventually tire out the army and stretching their supply lines,necessitating them to dig in and hold for reinforcements and supplies of food,fuel and ammo for the soldiers to get back up again for the fight.Sorry If I'm being nitpicky.

Would tell them to disarmed and then escorted back to Cascadia a better option? The federation gain a lot of war material while the Cascadian had to rearmed and maintaining all of the disarmed forces.

Now i wanna learn military sentences with these words! It's so interesting when we decode the meaning on the military alphabet sentences

The lead up to 8:20 gave me chills, cause we all probably knew what was going to happen, and very deeply reminds all of us in the Cascadian War for Independence, there we many moments of no honor or mercy.

Anything is possible. Considering that quite a bit or more people are now rooting for the Federation. Heck, exploring Crimson Squadron's story would be interesting.

The fact that the federation prefer to wipe out the trapped Cascadian than force them to surrender does show just how ruthless they are in ensuring victory. Not to mention later at Prospero, they really don't want to lose another cordium site after Magadan.
@CrystalKingdomGeneral49422 ай бұрын
They had no choice. You said it yourself, they lost most of their remaining cordium and geothermal facilities thanks to the Cascadian's invasion of Magadan. The fact that Woodward thought that Crystal Kingdom would let them go after all the devastation they caused shows a hilarious amount of naivete on his part. As for what happens as Prospero, well, the Cascadians asked for it by what they did to Magadan.

@@CrystalKingdomGeneral4942 bullshit, it's one thing destroying valluable enemy resource facility and another thing commiting two attempt at genocide
@CrystalKingdomGeneral4942Ай бұрын
@@potato88872 The Federation did not want to "commit genocide," as you say. They had only cordium-laced cruise missiles left as their only option thanks to Monarch, and didn't know what would happen if they were deployed en masse. Neither did the Cascadians. And the "valuable enemy resource facilities" you mentioned were not explicitly military, but civilian more than likely. Meaning that your goddess Faust caused a nationwide energy crisis in Magadan out of nothing more than hatred. She ruined so many innocent lives all because she could. Not even for Cascadia's sake, as she oh-so-convincingly said to Captain Woodward. But seeing as Cascadia left them no choice, they asked for it, and they got it.

@@potato88872i would never let an enemy escape just to later on fight the same guys on some other front Had they chose to surrender instead of a truce to escape, then i would actually accept it
