I loved your presentation but the music loops were over the top. May I suggest that you forget them, or reduce the duration and the volume. I found the music distracting to the point where I was ready to watch something else. Silence can be golden, so keep up the great videos and allow us oldies to watch them in semi-peace. Thanks.

Goedendag ,wat een lijn zit er in die v leeuwen romp.ja zelf ook heel wat tijd in boten gestoken,dus advies weet waar je begint . Slopen alleen als niet anders kan. Waarom ik dit zeg is ,karakter is sneller weg dan je denkt .voor nu zeg ik blijf lekker bezig, voor je gevoel kun je 24 uur met je schip in touw zijn. Hoop dat je het voorelkaar krijgt 🎉

What a stunning little ship. Reminds me of the Vosper-Thorneycroft motor torpedo boats in profile, but I think they were wooden construction. Very purposeful appearance indeed. I'm glad to have dropped in on the second episode, early enough to follow along with the work being done from start to finish. Have fun.

Hi there and welcome to all the fun of owning an older steel boat. You're wearing a respirator all the time and that's great. But please buy a set of asbestos tests and check the suspicious materials. Then you know what you're dealing with. Especially fabric heat sheetings on the exhaust pipes are dangerous. Sometimes very little inhalation of fibers is needed to cause very deadly form of cancer 20-40 years after exposition. Gaskets in old piping systems most of the time do contain asbestos! Also old insulation material (exhaust again) is not particularly healthy either. I think that's the most important thing to know when starting a boat restoration project. We do invest a lot in bringing an old boat back to live but it's not worth dying for! All the best from Flying Coney.

I dont think yacht design has been bettered since that time, beautifull design will never go out of fashion. Love me some Dutch motorsailers. . You have an ommense amount of work to do, but she is worth it. Well done for getting stuck in.

Geachte heer, Het getoonde schip (ik begrijp 1 uit 4 destijds gebouwd) herinner ik mij heel goed uit de periode rond 1965. De schoonvader van een vriend van mij, de heer Hagoort uit Heemstede had 1 van deze schepen laten bouwen. Dhr. Hagoort was destijds eigenaar van een aannemingsbedrijf vlg. mij in de buurt van Rotterdam. Het is een zeer markant ontwerp en herkende het direct op uw video. Beste Hans, dank je voor je reactie. ik ben enorm geïnteresseerd naar foto's uit die tijd. mogelijke tuigages en inrichting. is er een manier om deze heer Hagoort (of zijn zoon) te bereiken? zouden zij nog plannen/foto's hebben van hun schip? jou verhaal lijkt enorm op het mijne en dus is de kans Noet klein dat het om hetzelfde schip gaat. dank je voor je medewerking

Hi, I just watched your video. Congratulations on such a nice old craft. Lots of hard work now, but years of pleasure later eh. Here In the UK, there Is a similarly themed channel on KZbin called - What the Ship- named Jacinda an ex-admiralty vessel requiring lots of work as it is wooden. was a fast motor launch once. powered by twin huge diesels. Anyway, keep at it.. Ian. - UK, living 30 meters from the beach..(but cold now lol)

sure I am, as for now I'm trying to find a reasonably priced spot and arranging transport, but for as long as I can I will leave it in the water and enjoy the sunsets :)

What I do know is that a simulair yacht is laying Roelofarendsveen lost summer 2023, this yacht used to lay in port-zeelande and her name was “de zwaan” or “ de witte zwaan” I hoop to see her and you on the water.

Mooi schip. Zo worden ze niet meer gebouwd. Volgens mij heeft er nog niet zo lang geleden een op Marktplaats gestaan. Of was dat deze? Die blauwe DAF komt bij Drinkwaard vandaan. Die zal dus vermoedelijk een keer vervangen of overhaald zijn, want anders waren beide motoren nog wel de originele DAF kleur. Zijn het DAF's met een ZF BW30 keerkoppeling? Als dat zo is moet je erg zuinig zijn op die koppelingen. Veel succes met het restaureren. Mvg Felix

@@BoatProjectY DAF heeft destijds complete sets geleverd van een motor met een ZF BW30 keerkoppeling. Ik heb zelf zo'n set in mijn boot gehad. Dat waren geweldige koppelingen. Deze schakelden electrsch d.m.v. 2 electromagneten. Het schakelen ging super licht. En je hoorde en voelde niks. Helaas zijn er bijna geen onderdelen meer voor te vinden. Dat is ook de reden geweest dat ik over gestapt ben op een andere keerkoppeling.
