As somebody who was born in Yugoslavia and spent his childhood there, I want to thank you for being diligent and nailing the history facts of the region. So many other channels butcher it. Always admired the amount of work you put into your videos and the high production value. (Saying this as a cinematographer of 30 years), it will be sad to see you go. Best of luck with whatever comes next. I'm kind of on the same course as you were last year, currently in Symi on my Najad 360. Fair winds.❤

If I had the means you, would have it , but I don’t. I watched every episode! I almost drove to see you guys when you were in New England! If and when you’re done… know you helped me so very much! We all are going to be alright. Humble bow…

Do not be swayed by whatever your viewers say about staying on your boat or leaving it behind. This is such a deep, personal decision that only you two know what is best for your growing family. It just doesn't matter what other people think. It's your family that only you can make the decision. I wish you unstressful decision making because I know they can feel overwhelming. And no matter your decision you come to, thank you for taking us along your journey.

it doesn't have to be giving up sailing forever-- maybe just taking an interlude, a break for several years to raise your kids and be close to family. As a grandmother, myself, it would break my heart not to be a part of my children and grandchildren's lives. It's also the greatest gift you can give your babies--time spent with grandma and family, and wonderful memories they make. We sailed as a family on weekends and holidays, summer breaks. Our 4 kids grew up on a sailboat, camping and we always wanted to live on a boat and travel someday. Unfortunately that didn't work out since I lost my husband in 2000, but we had the best of both worlds for 34 years.

There are so many lovely comments here 🥰 Just know we are collectively rooting for all of you! And remember, no decision has to be permanent - just like sailing - you can go anywhere and do anything at any time. Wishing you all the best with whatever you decide. With that said, I think we are all a little nosey, just keep us updated. If you decide to live on land for a while (or forever)..you can keep filming. Heck, I followed a girl on KZbin because of her knitting and crocheting, now she is remodeling a home and hasn’t done a craft in months! I thinks she’s actually gained followers 😂.

Whatever you guys decide, all the best. Your channel has reminded everyone that the World is made up of different Languages, Cultures, Places, and People, for us to embrace... not hate. We only live once. So, let's enjoy our time on Earth cherishing travel, diversity, and creating beautiful memories... not indulging hatred and division. The host of another travel show, which has been on for years, Joseph Rosendo of Travelscope, always ended his show with a beautiful quote: "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness". Let's all enjoy the ultimate trip, Life.

Really can't imagine Saturdays without you three, however, I also can't imagine living and raising a tiny person on a boat. We've enjoyed your trips and yes, the history lessons too. I had such an inaccurate picture of Turkey! Never any shame in doing what feels right for the family. Your travels have helped highlight the positives of a family that's close by when most of us take that connection for granted and often don't realize the very real power of having loved ones close. Be well & be safe!!!

My husband and I often say that this is the season we are in, and one day the season will change, but for now our lives revolve around two little girls. That’s part of living. Many of your faithful viewers are living their lives through your journeys, adventures they will never experience themselves. That has been an incredible gift you two have so graciously shared. Thank you. While we have all enjoyed traveling vicariously with you, don’t assume you own us anything more than what you have already given. Family is important. The older you get, the more you will appreciate that sentiment. Keep this in mind-your impeding decision is grounded in love of family. With that as your foundation, you will never regret going ashore for a “season.”

Thanks to you "buds' for letting us poor souls of the world be part of all your incredible lives to date... As viewers, my family have enjoyed being part of your travels & trials for a very long time. This is certainly not the first crossroads you guys have encountered. It is one of the bigger ones, & it really has been somewhat foreseeable I think. Being a parent, I know how that responsibility brings a whole new range of challenges & concerns, (& random unsolicited advice from everyone). Getting some extra support from family when you have small kids can help reduce pressure a little. Just remember that you guys are in the best position to decide what's best for you & your family long term. Don't be too concerned about changing directions if that's what you both need. If you stop sailing the world, good for you, ... or if you continue, good for you! Consider your faithful viewers as a sort of hidden family who will support you in any direction you take. If you do return to the USA, there are still countless adventures awaiting you in any direction you face, inland or offshore, or both! (Perhaps the Great American Loop might need some exploring!) Cheers!

My husband of forty years and I were talking just yesterday about the seasons of life that we have experienced together over the years. We are in our last season now and rather than trying to hold on to what we have repeatedly done in the past, we are intentionally trying to invent this last season to be fresh and our best. We now have time, money, and enough health to travel which is what we thought we would always do. But go figure, shocker, we love staying home! We are so grateful that we traveled extensively when we we young and surprised that the desire to see the world has left us. We have new interests now and we are embracing those! I think, if YOU AND DESIREE are willing to take us along on whatever you do next, we would happily be right behind you. Grinding out content, content, content is hard! But you are both so talented in front and behind the camera, whatever you decide to do, we would certainly enjoy watching that and happily cheer you on! God Bless you both and we will ALL be there for you next week.

I certainly understand you thinking about leaving the sailing life. I understand well your family concerns. I spent 23 years in the military moving all over the world. I had to make the choice to move home instead of pursuing my dream starting sailing. I saved a son from a bad choice in his young life. Being near extended family made the difference. It was at great experience to my goals in life. I miss travel and being self sufficient! Your life up till now was my dream. Hope there can be a compromise one. One son benefited from my choice the other thrived with our adventures. He also understood my choice but felt we gave up so much! Good luck, I feel Ike extended family and like others would love to have met you both!

It’s easy for those of us in the “cheap seats” to comment on the choice to keep cruising - or not. But the fact is, you have to live the life you to collectively believe in. Whether that’s on a boat or ashore. If you stop cruising, you will be missed here. By reviewing the comments, I’m not alone in that thought. But, once again, you have to live YOUR life. Not provide a means for others to live vicariously. Thank you very much for all you have given us so far, and Godspeed on however you choose to pursue life.

65th class, 1982. Served a year on 821 as a torpedo handler. Good times. No height restrictions, I'm 1.85m and there were quite a few guys considerably taller than me. Also, unless you have to, you do not ever want to be inside torpedo tube in that orange diving suit with two other guys and a buoy, while water and air are pumped in to build the pressure, so you can open the tube hatch up front and escape. I've done it a few times, thankfully just in training, it really sucks.

Unsolicited advice: I absolutely love your channel! I actually enjoyed it just as much when y’all were in the US and showing us things here! I would watch this channel no matter if you were sailing the world, van life, stationary at home. I don’t blame Desire (sp chk) wanting to be back “Home”. Jordan could get a crew and bring Atticus back home. Then you could choose to sail more locally a few months at a time. Rent her out or sell her. No matter what I’d like to see you keep the channel!! All of us love your lil family💞🥂 I personally would have came home and stayed with Isabella (sp chk I know it’s not right sorry) diagnosis. I’d be a total wreck. It’s definitely a mom thing. I have watched you from the beginning! Whatever you both decide it is met with great respect for both of you! I loved at the beginning when you would also have the big guy on and other family! I'm not sure what your Faith is but I will pray for the three of you and Osso! Go with your heart, have no regrets. Family is Everything! I'm glad you are willing to talk it out together! We don't know each other, but I feel like you both are family and I love you all!

Do what ya gotta do Buds, we've got your backs!! I always thought of "Project Atticus" as a way of life, that happened to have a sailboat as a home. I'm good if you take it on the road, build a homestead, renovate a European castle, sail just part time or do all of the above! Much love to you three and the one on the way!

There is no doubt you two will make the right decision about moving ashore. With one child on board, I can only surmise how nerve racking it can be... but with two? Not sure anyone in their right mind would assume that risk. You still have an entire life ahead of you, and you will always be able to cherish the great adventurous memories you've built with Atticus. No one will fault you putting the sailing adventure on hold for later when the kids are older!

Wow I’m going to miss you guys so much, but, you’ve got to do what’s best for you and your little family. It’s amazing what you have managed to do over the years, and particularly since Isabella came along. You’ve opened up so much to me, taught me a lot, and not just about sailing either. You’re a beautiful family and I wish you the very best whatever your decision is. Little Isabella, well she is just a beauty, and that smile! 😍 Onwards and upwards, and thanks for such a fantastic history lesson on that part of Europe that I didn’t understand very well before, Hugs to you.

The cinematography was, as usual, fantastic! You have our support in whatever you decide to do for your growing family. You need a third adult to manage two children on a sailboat, for sure, and that can get a little crowded on a 40' boat. If you still want to keep sailing, and we hope you do, think about a bigger boat with a third cabin and I bet you could find someone who could come for months at a time as a seagoing "Nanny," maybe 2 or 3 people who rotated in and out for you. Just a thought. We selfishly want you to keep sailing! Namaste. 🙏

Wow! Now I understand the title of this video. I started watching this thinking what a amazing and wonderful family you guys are and what a beautiful environment you provide for your children to grow and experience the world around them! Even for us viewers; you both always explore the area around you and provide a wealth of historical and personal contact with the area and people that you connect with. Truly the greatest zest of life itself. We and your children are truly blessed to have you as our guide to learn and explore the diversity of humanity and culture that is blossoming all around us! Thank you.❤ I understand and respect the weightyness your upcoming discussion and decision hold. Looking forward to your next video as I always do. And know that you always provide value and understanding as two great parents. We will miss traveling with you if that turns out to be your next tack; but hopeful we still might get to explore and enjoy your company and travels around the globe.❤😢❤😢 Happy and sad.

If you decided to shift gears and do something else, I would love to tag along, but whatever you folks decide to do, I'm sure you will make the decisions that will have the greatest benefit to you and your family. Isabella is just a doll, a lovely child already with an interesting personality. You have accomplished many things along the way, and I trust the Good Lord will bless and accompany you in whatever you do from here on. This latest episode has been beautifully done. Your travels through the Med have been an eye-opener for me.

Condo near a marina in Florida and keep Atticus 2 in the marina and sail at the weekends? In the 1980's when working on a cruiseship we used to sail around Kotor Bay en-route from Venice to Dubrovnik and the monks at the monestary would wave to us as we sailed past them. A very cool place to visit.

I am a couple of months away from turning 71 and up until the time I had children I lived what I thought was a somewhat adventurous life. Age creeps up on you slowly, you can't see it coming, but it comes none-the-less. I do not know what your future holds, but I will tell you that I long for the time of my life when I could hike up any mountain, swim across the lake, run 3 miles and think nothing of it, drive 24 hours straight, eat a whole 18" New York style pizza by myself (although with friends is way more fun). Knowing what I know now, I would not give up the adventurous life for security. Life is but a moment and the exciting things that we do when we are young have to last us a lifetime. I was never an adrenaline junkie like my dad, I raced my family car in autocross 4-5 times, hiked up to the 8,000 foot level of Mt Rainier, walked into the Grand Canyon, but there are so many things I did not get to do I can't even begin to list them. I want to experience the Great Loop, but even that easy course has moved beyond my capabilities. There's a great line that Tolkien wrote in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Aragorn asks Lady Eowyn 'What do you fear, lady?' she replies 'A cage, to stay behind bars, until use and old age accept them, and all chance of doing great deeds is gone beyond recall or desire.' I have succumbed to the cage of age and it is a cage of my own making. My greatest wish for anyone is that they do not become trapped where I am but live as full a life as they possibly can. Our children are only with us for a short time, and then it is they who jump from the nest to begin their own adventure. We each must find our own path but I wanted to share with you the perspective of someone in the twilight of his life. Whatever you choose, I pray it is the right choice for you, today, recognizing as Scarlett O'Hara put it "Tomorrow is...another day."

There are millions of places to explore in the US so you can always get a great RV and just tour around the US seeing everything and following the seasons or have a boat and do the great loop or something or find a cool houseboat. Lots of options for the US and still have a channel worth following. Ya'll will figure it out. Most important thing is do what you love and if you're not having fun, try something else. If sailing around the world with two little kids is not it, don't do it. You could even pick a different country to live in and explore (plenty cheaper than the US) via land and water. We're here for ya either way. Hugs.

No shame in prioritizing your children, especially after all the seawater you have wrung out of your socks to date. Wonderful couple, wonderful channel, wonderful future ahead, AND you can still go sailing from time to time, perhaps full time again in the future. Kudos Jordan and Desiree.

Wow!! That news was a big surprise!! We get it though.... traveling with 2 babies would be a Lot! And it will be nice to be with family after being away for so long.... And you left it open ended which allows you to make a decision with a better sense of knowing how your lives are progressing living under different circumstances...... However, we will certainly miss your excellent videos watching your family discover ruins, restaurants, cultures, and sharing the history of it all......We wish you all the best whatever you decide!❤❤❤❤❤
