I've had my own issues with my health and having to wait over 12 months to see a gastroenterologist, nothing compared to your trauma, but the stress and frustration it causes only adds to your problems! Lee, this is a heartbreaking story and I am so sorry you have been struggling for over two years. I was a nurse for the NHS but left two years ago because I smelt something fishy during the world situation and went against my truth… this system had failed you, made you disabled and abandoned you. I wish I knew a lawyer to help you. I wish I had money to donate to you. But I am supporting you in spirit and sending lots of love. I am in the USA. 25 years ago I worked with Dr. James Binski, orthopedic surgeon, who back then- 1994, lengthened a young boys leg, I also worked along side him, when he placed pins into the bones, and straightened a woman’s leg. The Health CARE that you seek, is DEFINATELY Possible- Yet the question is- do Humans actually care enough. To do this PROPERLY. No one should have to experience what you have gone thru. The nightmare you have experienced is heartbreaking and I am truly distressed to know that a young man has been made to suffer. This reminds me of ten years ago when I had a severe heart attack and had quad bypass surgery and two stents. I was told that this would improve the quality of my life. Quite the opposite, and after five years of struggling, I gave up on the American medical system and am ready to pass on when my time comes. However, at your age, you should keep fighting for the quality of life that you deserve. I know firsthand what a struggle this can be, and wish you the best in this endeavor. I hope you took a lot of videos and kept a lot of notes along with dates and times of your supposed medical treatments they have documented they did. I'm a nurse in the states and if you as a healthcare professional tick off boxes and sign off on tx that means it was done. Very hard to prove it was not done. Keep the best records you can for your case. Btw. Your ideas on therapy were ingenious. You would make one of the best physical therapist knowing what people go through. The plastic bag under your heal was pure inspiration.

I feel for you, I'm a lot older than you and have just gone through treatment for prostate cancer, the balls up in this were unbelievable, the staff of the NHS were amazing in doing there best in making things right, so I fight on. But without a shadow of a doubt underfunding is a major cause of the problem. I wish you well in your recovery and hope to see you back teaching people like myself the basic of horticulture.

Hi, I haven't watched the whole vid, but I've had my fair share of nhs issues so I'm going to list some ways you can get help that I know of. A lot of home insurance policies include legal fees and advice, which you may not have noticed when you got the policy. They might be a good place to start if you want to go the legal route, but often these cases take years, and they're not easily won. You are also entitled to a referral out of area, if your local consultant or unit aren't to your liking, but be aware an out of area unit don't have to accept you so check if they have special criteria first. You can get the referral by going to to your gp. Obviously you have to get there and back yourself. You can also complain to your Primary Care Trust (I think they have a different name these days, but they're the body who run your local hospital and surgeries etc, and your GP or hospital should give you details of how to make a complaint. You can use PALS to liaise with your care unit, although I have found them to be pretty hopeless to be honest. OR, you can pay to go private. You shouldn't have to, but in general it's the quickest and easiest way to get the treatment you need. You don't need a policy if you can pay direct, and many people don't realise they can just pay privately. It sucks, but going private has solved things for me on a couple of occasions that the nhs were unwilling to deal with. Sometimes you can find a private doctor who will refer you onto their nhs clinic after one private appointment, but it's worth looking at if you can throw some money at the problem. You may also find that a charity covering your condition can help you, or you can write to a local councillor to act on your behalf. I really do sympathise, the nhs isn't just underfunded, it's disorganised, bureaucratic and inefficient, and many thousands of people with long term or complex conditions are left to suffer because they get a 'computer says no' answer from the nhs. I could write a book about the stuff I've gone through. I really hope you can get some answers, but I would exhaust everything you can before resorting to the law, as this is usually the least certain, most expensive and slowest way to get it done. The NHS tends to be rather bulletproof in court.

Well done for persisting the nhs is at its lowest , and will pass the buck at every turn this includes the Gp’s only after you have gone through the gestapo on reception you might get a an appointment, loads of hospital appointments have been cancelled recently due to the increase in the covid infection. My other half is in a similar situation Lee so I understand where you're coming from. He's had a mixture of incompetent, unempathetic staff and dedicated hard-working staff. The government might be putting a lot of money into the NHS, but a lot of that is given to their friends & families in very lucrative contracts. And don't get me started on solicitors! Hi Lee, what you have been through is horrendous but I really miss your gardening diaries but totally understand why you haven’t made any recently. As for the NHS I have 1st hand experience of how the system is so broken, in fact in my case through their negligence I had a Heart Attack and now my heart only works at 40% and therefore I’ve had to retire from a job I’ve had for more than 4 decades. I’m not sure that the NHS is under funded but It wouldn’t take much to persuade me otherwise. However, I do believe that it is miss managed to the point that the left arm doesn’t know what the right arm is doing. There are 2 sets of NHS employees. Those that care & Those that don’t. Those that care are wonderful ( my sister works in a hospice) those that don’t care which in my opinion far out number those that do care. Those that don’t just offer lip service and can’t wait for their shift to be over. I do need convincing however that putting more money into the NHS would be beneficial and not just throwing money down the drain. In my opinion Consultants , Junior Doctors and Nurses should be paid on ability, passion and caring. Because their are too many employees that don’t care those that do are picking up the slack which means their family life is unbalanced and causes other problems at home. I have shared your NHS POST with a member of my family to watch who after bodged up everyday surgery has after 5 years received substantial compensation but this doesn’t make up for the 5 years of pain and over 20 operations some of them life threatening. I very rarely comment on videos but this is plain ridiculous. I am genuinely sorry for what you are going through. I am having similar issues, no where near as bad, but after 5 years of trying to seek treatment for a bad hip (I in my 20's), I have been given another discharge letter from my consultant (back to the GP who listed me for back pain?), despite the fact I have been told I need a hip replacement. Had a similar problem to you were I have been told I was discharged because of the COVID pandemic, when they actually admitted to me that they had discharged me before rather than sending me on for scans and treatment, which I needed. The NHS at its core is a wonderful idea, but in reality they are failing so many patients, from the ones that need obvious support like yourself, right the way down to people who aren't seeking treatment because they are too worried about being able to getting an appointment with the GP, or waiting years afterwards for treatment. Omg I can’t believe what am hearing as I went threw something very similar. Due to operation I should never have got they made my hip,socket and joint snap to peices. I have now been told at 35 am going in to wheel chair. When I took surgeon to court all my records and notes were distroyed. I really hope u get somewhere as I haven’t x
