The first stint of LeBron in Cleveland they did things but not to the level of what other organizations did for their Star player at the time. Example: What the Lakers traded for Kobe to stay. What the Celtics to have another championship with Pierce and KG as centerpieces. The Cavs didn't do enough. The Cavs with what they got succeded and failed is because of LeBron, they went as far as LeBron leaded them to and clearly it wasn't enough.

@@unlimitedz2.014 it’s easy to under perform when the other teams defense is solely worried about you. I’m not saying they were a shit team but to build something special you don’t do what everyone else is doing you find the right moves that fit the player your building around. They never moved for another young star piece, and got him B & C level players to drag to the finals with him. Generational talents deserve more than that for success, which is why the bulls with Jordan when they finally got Scottie and the right role players or steph when klay and draymond emerged with that stacked team. All because the organization built around who they thought could make them special. Spurs are another with Tim, Tony and Manu. If you think bron had anything compared to that then you’re just wrong, but that’s what it takes to have something special like win multiple championships, which is why he left and went to Pat who was obviously trying to get home more talent and a better chance of success.

@@Natedawwg2332 "when Jordan got Scottie" smh as if Scottie was this polished NBA vet when Mike got him, stop. Spurs basically said Bron beat us with your shooting, he couldn't, no trips to the paint. Cavs held Duncan to poor shooting and the Spurs as a whole way below their offensive capabilities, all bron had to do was play somewhat better and cut down on his turnovers and that series goes 7 and Cavs potentially win in his 4th yr. Jordan in yr 4 isn't being dared to shoot because he's making the shots bron couldn't hit. And Steph got rookie Klay and Dray, LeBron was getting established NBA vets, it's not the same

Constant roster flux plus no really talent around him that could grow and get better with him seeing how he was so young lol if you look at all the great organizations who had generational talent they did the right things to surround him with crucial pieces that would eventually help them win MULTIPLE rings. Yes lbj played bad in the finals in his 4th year in the league but the fact that he was even there with the squad he had was impressive and if you don’t think so you don’t know basketball lol the organization itself with owner Dan Gilbert has been known to be incompetent around the league so idk why all of a sudden bron had no right to leave lol y’all just eat up whatever ticket says and because marz got on the train it must be true lol sorry to disappoint bud the facts say different

The Cavs won 19 games after LeBron left. Both times. In 2007-as was the case for the most part during the entire first run-LeBron James was the sole focal point of the Spurs defense, listen to Gregg Popovic talk about that series. The best player they brought in for LeBron was Larry Hughes and the best player he had was Big Z. That’s not a good supporting team, who did LeBron play with that was even close to as good as Jamal Murray, especially in the playoffs. The organization did a terrible job scouting young talent, they did a terrible job bringing in actual help, these are well known things that aren’t disputable. The *ONLY* reason that team did anything was because LeBron was on it, without him they miss the playoffs every year. Acting like they were a good organization is extremely disingenuous. Edit: LeBron was gone 4 years when he went to Miami. Cleveland picked 1st in the draft 3 of those years and 4th in the other year. Why are we even entertaining this conversation?
